This little Mexican spot in Georgetown is fantastic. I had the beef enchilada plate, and it was without a doubt the best enchiladas I’ve had in years. The homemade sauce is rich and full of depth, and the beef was tender and packed with flavor. The queso was thick, fresh, and absolutely addictive.
The atmosphere feels like eating in your grandmother’s kitchen—warm, welcoming, and full of comfort. Super-fresh ingredients, a convenient location, and a surprisingly big menu will keep us coming back for a long time.
Highly recommend!

Had lunch delivered. Nothing looked very appetizing at first.
The carne guisada plate really looked a mess, but tasted fantastic….every bite eaten. Only recommendation would have been 3-4 tortillas instead of just one…it was a lot of food for just 2 flour tortillas.
Picadillo tacos were NOT picadillo….they were seasoned ground beef . No potatoes. No onion. No tomatoes….no anything other than meat. We ordered them on corn tortillas and unfortunately they did not serve them on two layered tortillas..just one, and of course the tortillas disintegrated before the taco could be eaten….what a huge mess. They were very salty, but I added fresh spinach at home and it evened out the flavor some and they actually ended up being a truly fantastic lunch.
As for the chips and queso… This was way less than what we expected. I feel it was just unseasoned, melted Velveeta watered down….it was runny and blah…..worst queso ever!!!!
I’ve not had their breakfast tacos, but I’d be inclined to try them, but I will never ever get their queso again….avoid it…it is less than okay…really a shame!!
I’ve debated 3 or 4 stars…the queso was really bad! But my son says the lunch plate was exceptional, so 4 stars it is.

Terrible, sorry for the bad review but I thought this would be more like a mom & pop restaurant, but food too salty, unappealing, plastic ware, used microwave to heat up or cook. I showed a picture of the dish I wanted and she bought it out with out the onions or refried beans. Very disappointed with food and service. And they charge a service charge when you use a bank card.

Food Poisoning from eating here on November 26th 2025…Air conditioning was off, very uncomfortable, was asked for a tip and to pay my bill before I was served. All I heard was a microwave door slamming every 2 minutes and was then served rancid beans, flavorless rice and a mess described as enchiladas on a Styrofoam plate and a tiny useless plastic fork. 24 hours later I suffered for 3 days with terrible food poisoning. This place is a health Hazzard and a disgrace to the term ‘mexican cafe’…absolutely the worst food I have ever attempted to eat.

First time here and the services was great but the food was just so-so. The tacos are fairly small, certainly not homemade.

We’re new to Georgetown and looking for a go-to breakfast spot that is delicious, quaint, memorable (for good reasons), won’t break the bank and worthy of recommendations. That said, our first trip to Rio Bravo on the Friday after Thanksgiving was just okay. We each had the migas plate, one with chorizo and one with regular sausage added in. The migas and beans were tasty but the potatoes were pretty bland. The little container of red sauce helped but could have been chunkier. I read a lot of mixed reviews about this place but always like to see for myself. We’ll probably return at some point but I think we’re still in the hunt. Maybe next time we’ll stick with the tacos.

Love their breakfast tacos. Small dining room and friendly staff

Honestly the worst migas taco i have ever had. It was 90% tortilla with no seasoning not even salt. Im only giving 2 stars coz the salsa was alright.

The food was bland and unimpressive with canned foods playing a role in the meal and all served with plastic cutlery and plates. For two it was close to $40. As a native Texan I’ve had good Mexican food and this is the most low effort “Mexican” meal I’ve had in a long time. I hope they can get more realistic with pricing and food quality, probably explains why there were no other customers to be seen during my visit.
