The restaurant I planned on visiting is closed on Monday, so I plugged in my location to Google maps and found this one close by. Excellent albóndigas. The black beans were flavorful and the corn tortillas were on point. They do bring a complimentary bowl fideo to the table with two salsa. I put a small spoon full of the green sauce and it was more than enough. I wasn’t brave enough to try the red.

I came during lunch and after work the same day, both times for takeaway orders. The food is not your average Mexican restaurant since its cuisine is from Oaxaca (southern Mexico). They have enchiladas, caldos, and other typical Mexican fare, but mostly Oaxacan inspired food. I highly recommend this place. I brought my mom the following day for dinner. She liked yesterday’s and today’s orders, and that’s saying a lot ’cause she’s extremely picky. The restaurant is not big but not crowded either. A great place for any meal of the day since they also serve breakfast. The prices are commensurate with the amount of food. The service is great as well.

The food was great. Great flavor. I had the tlacoyo with Chicharrón prensado, and it was delicious. I will definitely eat there again. The drinks were fresh and they give you a soup as curtsy. You will leave the place with a full belly.

Looooove this place. My first time in Laredo, but I might have to drive back just for the eats. I ordered asada bisteca (I’m not fluent in Spanish, but I try). The plate was chopped beef on top of… Surprise mashed potatoes….. With at least 2 types of cheese and guac and freshly made tortilla chips!!!!!! Had to write the review before I took another bite. And I got a mango fresca that is straight from somebody’s tree I guess!!! This place is amazing

I was craving caldo and ordered caldito de pollo to go. I was about 10 min away and food was ready by the time I arrived! It was soo good and I had the entire 32 ounces even though I was full at about 1/2 through it had garbanzos and white rice at the bottom and came with cebolla and cilantro picado on the side with really good/super hot home made tortillas de maíz. It also had 2 lime ‍ pieces that made everything taste amazing . Great food, ready quickly, and only cost a total of about $15 with a 3% credit card fee and a 15% tip added on there. Will definitely come back for the caldo!

One of the best places to try real mexican food, specifically from Oaxaca state which is one of the most richest ones gastronomically and culturally speaking. All dishes include a soup of cortesy. We tried the Tlayuda which is like a pizza, it contains beans, vegetables and a meat of choice; highly recommended. Also the cafe de olla is delicious. Depending on the day, they have a special dish. Prices are accessible. Now they accept cards which is amazing since previously they used to accept only cash.

Loved everything! Waitress was very sweet to us who have not been to Laredo before. Her recommendations were on point. Food was delicious all around. I was recommended this place by my friends and they were right about everything. If I am out that way again, I will be back.
