We were practically forced to dine at Rincon Del Faro as a part of our combined El Yunque & bio bay tour. At the beginning of the tour we were asked to scan QR code and put the order in for our late lunch around 4pm since this place could get “real busy”! We were also told that the food was amazing and we wouldn’t want to miss it!
Well – turns out none of the items we ordered were worth it… the chicken tenders were more like nuggets soaked in dripping oil … the chicken wings – which after observing the place we tried to cancel when they came around to take the order, we were told wasn’t an option since we had already put the order in earlier! These wings tasted stale! We pretty much wasted the entire food which wasn’t even cheap by any means! Overall we had an unpleasant experience! And oh, the place was pretty much empty other than our tour group – who also shared similar sentiments about the food!

Our tour (El Yunque & Bio bay) stopped there for dinner. Our guide told us to preorder our meals at noon so that the waiting time would be reduced. When we arrived at 3.45 pm, we were ignored firstly. After some time, a waitress came to confirm our orders, then the waiting begun. About 45min later, our appetizer arrived. The fried calamaries were good but extremly thin. The waitress didn’t bring us any cutlery and after some time we resigned waiting for it or her to show of again (we also hadn’t the chance to reorder drinks as the staff ignored us) and ate them with our fingers. Appearantly the staff ran out of cutlery because some time later, they began handing out plastic ones.
After 1h20 my vegan burger finally arrived and it was the sadest burger I‘ve ever seen: it consisted of bread and patties, no sauce or salad or tomatoes or anything else. Just bread and patties. Cost: 20$. Okay.
As our tour was sceduled to go on just about 10 minutes after the food was served and I was already hungry after the long waiting time, we just accepted the fact that they absolutely don‘t care about their customers. The other participants of our tour were treated the same way, everyone had to wait extremly long and plates were served one at a time with looong periods inbetween.
Absolutely no recommandation, sorry.
We wonder why the tour company cooperates with such lousy service.

Our family LOVED this restaurant. If you’re ever in the area or are willing to drive to Fajardo to eat an amazing meal that comes with great service, don’t hesitate to go to Rincón Del Faro. The portions are more than sufficient. The food is fresh and tastes amazing. I wish I could eat there everyday. No te arrepentirás! Muchas gracias al RDF!

Bartender was extremely rude to guests and was selective as to which “rules” different diners were required to follow (no signage posted requiring patrons to wear shirts, it’s a beach bar, but bartender targeted young girls wearing bathing suits requiring them to wear shirts but would allow older guests to dine without). Additionally, it took 52 minutes to receive a drink from the bar. When asked for salt and pepper for an entire dish I was only provided a singular packet of each. The food at this establishment is under seasoned and over priced; not to mention the rude staff. A side salad is not inclusive of even a handful of lettuce and no dressing is available aside from vinegar and oil. If I could give a negative review, I would.

I would recommend this to anyone who visits Fajardo. The service is amazing they make you feel like family. The portions are above average and exquisite. I went there for dinner and returned the very next day to bring friends so they could experience what we had. Don’t miss this, I will come back
