After hearing great things about this restaurant from my son, his fiancé, his fiancé’s family, who all have eaten here several times. Even my daughter who has eaten with their family once. I finally decided to give them a try, especially since I work down the street from it and I’ve driven past it every day. Unfortunately, I was completely disappointed. I am very particular about my Mexican food due to my blended family. Therefore, I know authentic Mexican food, especially homemade food. I ordered two steak tacos and two chicken tacos, both the same way just cheese and cilantro along with a small order of guacamole and chips. My tacos were very tiny. Definitely not worth the price. The chicken was flavorless and, the guacamole was bland, though chunky, yet bland. It had no flavor. It didn’t even taste like it had any lime juice squeezed in it either. Honestly, I make better guacamole at home. I gave them two stars because though the tacos were tiny, the steak was very flavorful and the chips were too. But Riky’s unfortunately I don’t see or taste the hype. In the pictures I’m holding both tacos in one hand!

The carne asada tacos and the chicken torta and guacamole were very good. However, the rice and beans had no flavor to us and we didnt finish them and threw it away. I would definitely come back for the mains though. Its a nice restaurant and you can tell everyone works hard here. The horchata was good and I noticed they sell paletas here too. I would also come back to try the breakfast options as well

First time here, came based on the pics. Exceeded expectations, and believe me I’m a harsh critic. I ordered the chicken enchiladas, flavorful, maybe could have used more red sauce, dried out a bit. But otherwise a very large portion full of huge amounts of chicken. Partner ordered steak taco dinner, very tender flavorful steak, tacos were stuffed with meat. So much taco meat that the 3rd taco was served on a seperate dish! Both dishes served with brand and rice and a generous portion of guacamole. Will return for sure.

Best meal I’ve had in a while!! Fajita tacos were generously portioned and well seasoned, tortillas were fresh and had very good texture. I got the churro cake and wasn’t sure what to expect…oooh boy. One of the BEST cakes I’ve ever purchased from a restaurant. It was warm, buttery and I wish I had more! Service was kind and quick. So pleasantly surprised and will be back 🙂

Absolutely one of the best local Mexican restaurants ever! I’m visiting from Michigan and stopped for lunch The chips and salsa are home made and very tasty. Server recommended two steak tacos with a side of rice and beans. Lots of food! Very tasty! A real winner

We visited Rikys today after a long day at the Zoo. Upon entering we were immediately greeted by staff who asked us to choose where we would like to sit. Our waiter greeted us and brought out our drinks, chips and salsa within a few minutes.
We opted to go for just the tacos which were DELICIOUS. I of course got the vegetarian which consisted of stewed potatoes, rice tomatoes and lettuce. It was a different take but I will differently order again . My fiancé opted for the chorizo tacos which he equally enjoyed. After ordering our food arrived in about 10 minutes.
All of the staff were very attentive and just a short distance away if we needed anything . Overall, all of the food is fairly priced so if you want to get 20 tacos without breaking the bank you could!
We will definitely visit again.

Now this place was awesome. We were at the zoo nearby and it was raining. So instead of driving to Cicero for some tacos we too a chance and came here. The staff here were nice and helpful. The food tasted really food and was reasonably priced.
Pro tip 1: if they say that their salsa is spicy, it is very spicy (in a good way). We warmed up in minutes after having that spicy salsa with some nachos.
Pro tip 2: The portion sizes are enormous. I usually finish all the food on the plate at any place that I go. I hate carrying leftovers. But tonight I couldn’t do it. I had a Chimichanga and I could barely finish half of it. The last photo I have attached is my half finished plate which I packed. My friends who ordered tacos dinner also had to pack their food. So it would be a reasonable estimate to have two people share a dinner plate.
All in all, a great place with good food and good people. I highly recommend this place.

Stopped in here last night and ordered a steak quesadilla dinner to go. I was extremely disappointed in the quesadillas that weren’t even fully cooked to meld the meat and the cheese together. I was wondering how my meal was ready in less than five minutes. Additionally, the rice and beans had ZERO flavor or seasoning to them. I threw them away as they weren’t worth the calories. I grew up in this area and know there are some fine Mexican people, eating establishments, and some great cooks in the area so I’m just a little confused. Normally I wouldn’t try this place again based on this experience, but the place was pretty crowded so maybe I just went there on an off night…
