Rigo Taco Ricos is what happens when a food truck marries a gas station and their child grows up to become a flavor god.
This burrito? Life-changing. I’m not being dramatic — every bite felt like a warm hug from someone who knows how to season meat. The rice was fluffy perfection, the grilled meat had that smoky, just-charred-enough edge, and the cheese melted into the kind of creamy happiness that usually only happens in dreams. The tortilla? Griddled with love. I don’t know what Rigo’s doing back there, but I would 100% attend a TED Talk on it.
And the salsas? The green one flirted with me. The red one slapped me and called me “mijo.” Both were perfect.
Even the chips were next-level — crunchy, golden, and clearly not an afterthought. I would trust these chips with my secrets.
I’ve eaten in fancy restaurants that charged me $38 for a dish with the word “foam” in it — and I’d STILL choose this burrito 10 times out of 10.
So yeah, if you’re anywhere within a tank of gas from this place, go. Go now. Skip your meeting. Fake a flat tire. Tell your boss you’re chasing greatness — because you are.

Go get it! Second time. Very good tacos. Tacos come with plenty cilantro onion and a lime. The corn tortillas may be home made. (?) I add cheese to mine and lettuce. The salsas are very very good and fresh tasting. The verde salsa is perfection. Tangy with a tiny spice. The roja salsa adds some building delicious heat with a smoky flavor. Great great flavors! Will definitely be back. They have a nice $11-3 taco con Aroz y frijole (rice and bean) which are pleasantly plain, a good portion, and cooked perfect. The tacos are a little small but they are delicious. Thank you 🙂

BEST TACOS IN SARASOTA AREA. Still stand by my 5 star rating. Consistently delicious. Hot and fresh. Rigo does not skimp on the ingredients. I’ve been eating these tacos for over a year and haven’t found a better taco yet!!! Keep up the amazingly good work, Rigo.

Absolutely phenomenal. Outstanding. Every single bite was flavor packed. I’m a taco connoisseur. I travel the county for work. In 4 years these are the best or at the least maybe second best. Excellent!!!!

As a transplant from New Jersey to Florida, I’ve spent the past two years making Rigo’s Tacos my go-to spot for Friday dinners, replacing my usual NJ favorite, Jose Tejas. Coming from NJ, where the idea of buying shrimp tacos or burritos from a gas station is almost unthinkable, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and freshness here. Take my advice—if shrimp or fish burritos are your thing, they’re a must-try. That said, the pork, beef, and chicken options are equally outstanding.
From my first visit, the owner and staff made me feel completely at home. The service goes above and beyond—more then once,, they even walked my food out to the pump as I’m still learning to pump my own gas ! The comments about poor staff service couldn’t be further from my experience. The team is attentive, even double-checking if I meant to order corn tortillas instead of flour.
The atmosphere is exactly what you’d want for authentic, flavorful tacos and burritos. If you’re looking for the best shrimp burritos or authentic Mexican food in Florida, Rigo’s Tacos is a hidden gem that you won’t regret trying!

They catered our party with the truck and it was BEYOND!!!! Fresh, flavorful, real ingredients. Super nice owners. They were very patient with my small kids ordering 18 baskets of nachos and cheese. Big recommend. I’ll be stopping by often.
