I went to this stand at the Lebanon Blues Festival. I paid for two meals and only received one. I was really excited for this food because they are normally really good when they come to town. The woman at the register was very sweet and helpful. The guys at the grill (that I am suppose to get the food from) wouldnt make eye contact, were unfriendly, and told me to take care after giving me what I thought was my entire order. I was the only person in line so it wasn’t like they were being rushed. I am very disappointed that my significant other has to eat my food instead of his brisket meal instead. They never have brisket left any other time we have been there so I was excited for him.

Stood in line for over an hour to eat here at one of the festivals. How could there be a line so long for something that was bad?
Worst food I’ve had in a very long time. Rib tips were nothing but gristle and bone. No meat to be found and bone cold. Bourbon chicken was a small, cold portion of rice and beans with one large chunk of chicken fat in the middle. Can’t make this up. I don’t know how you could serve any of this with a straight face.

Had them at the fairborn, oh block party. Had a long line so we figured it was good… nope it was not, taste like the boiled their meat. We got ribs and brisket. They were out of a lot of sides so we got green beans and greens. No seasoning on either. Worst food we have ever had.

I tried them 5/29/22 at the Columbus Black Expo, waited in line Almost 2 hours for some of the most bland tasting greens (canned by the way) bland tasting macaroni and cheese and tough pork ribs I don’t know how you achieve that? If this is a staple out there in Springfield you people don’t know good barbecue won’t be entertaining this place again.

Had Riddles at the Juneteenth festival on June 15, 2019. The rib tips had bones and grissle. There was hardly any meat. And the $13 portion was about $4 worth of food. The sauce was ok. Very disappointed in the portion and quality. Do not recommend.

Had last night at Summer Arts Festival, so I can only comment on the food, not the establishment. But holy cats, the food was SO FREAKIN GOOD. I’ve lived in a few prominent BBQ areas, their pulled pork rivals any I’ve ever tasted. Beautifully smoky, tangy sauce, *very* generous portion. I know most people probably don’t worry too much about the sides when the ‘que is this awesome, but for the record the 2 I had (mac & chz and mixed greens) were totally stellar. I normally dash my greens w/hot sauce or vinegar, these needed NO accessories whatsoever. Super stoked to have made this discovery, I’m fairly new to town and hadn’t known about Riddles…I *will* be visiting them again soon!!

just went up to the sweetcorn festival for dinner and tried this place, had bourbon chicken red beans and rice and for 17.00 the most disgusting bourbon chicken I have ever had. Most of the workers there appear to be really old and or on something, never will recommend this place to anyone,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Smokey smell but terrible results

Mediocre BBQ considering how long they’ve been around. At least they’ve been consistent & live up to their reputation. I was getting tough ‘n chewy beef ribs from them in the nineties.

We had “ribs ” from here at the Apple Butter festival.
The ribs were extremely tough. We were very disappointed. The service was slow and we didn’t have time to get back in line to demand a refund . Never again !

At Juneteenth in Springfield. Don’t get the rib tips! Nothing but bones and grissle. Pitiful! Someone needs to pull their soul food card.
