Just got back from eating on the back patio. Food was great! Service was a bit slow, and timing of food was off for our table and ones beside us, but with it only being the second day (soft) open they are still in testing mode and it’s to be expected. The food was very tasty. We came in not that hungry Actually, so didn’t order much. Dad and I split some chips with salsa and gauc and got two more lamb tacos, I also got one Al Pastor. The tacos are the usual small size but with bug chunks of meat in them, especially the lamb. Good choice of toppings, loved the pineapple for the Al pastor. Menu isn’t huge, one page, but many tacos to choose from plus some other entrees. No flan, but do have some desserts, key lime pie and tres leches cake. All the food I saw being passed around looked great. Decor inside is nice, two areas with booths, a bar area, and a few tables outside in the back.

Great food ( tacos, burritos and fajitas), cocktails and service. Oh and the music is great too. Live bands on the weekends. Meeting some great people here. You should check it out.

Had a good evening! We went up for dinner and some live music. The restaurant was busy but the staff was maintaining well. The bar gets a little too packed but it didn’t help that it was too cold for outside seating.

The thing with Rico’s is that their food is good. It’s not amazing, it’s good. The guacamole doesn’t have some crazy spice or a fancy person making it right in front of you. Instead it’s fresh avocado, consistent ingredients, and a good, all person friendly guac.

My wife and I love the drinks there. She loves their spicy margarita and I love the house margarita. As soon as the bike trail opens, we’ll be visiting a lot more!

I cant say enough good things about the service, food and drinks. It was my first visit and we will definitely be returning. It was great to have so many different types of tacos to choose from. Their chips and salsa were really fresh and the chips were warm straight from the oven. The margarita’s were delicious. The wait staff was excellent and made us feel very, very welcome. Overall a fantastic meal in a very nice place!!!!

I will definitely be eating there again! The tacos were really good. The steak taco was perfect and the fish of the day was not fried but blackened. Be sure to get the Raspberry Rita (I decided to have two)! Even the seating was very combfortable (I was in a booth, felt good on my back). The bathroom was so clean I could have eaten my tacos in there. On top of all that, the owner was there and he personally made sure everyone at the restaurant was happy.

We just enjoyed a great dinner on Saturday night. Great shrimp fajitas, stellar spicy margaritas and they even had two kinds of hard cider. Besides a bunch of unique enchilada, burrito, and taco choices, there were even non-meat choices for most dishes. The outdoor patio is awesome. I love this place!
I am so happy that we fianlly have such a great Mexican dine-in and take out in Bay Hills.

The food and drinks are awesome. The staff is getting up to speed quickly. My only complaint would be that it feels like your paying alot but not getting a lot. The tacos are awesome for example, but at 5 bucks or more each, they are too small. Hopefully they’ll tweak the menu as they try things out and find the right balance.

Was excited to try a new restaurant but we didn’t have the best experience here.

Service was very slow despite the restaurant being nearly empty (in retrospect, probably should’ve been our first warning). We only met two employees, one waitress and one guy who seemed to pulling double-duty between hosting and working in the kitchen. Both were great and very nice, but obviously stretched thin in the massive floor space, despite the very limited lunch crowd, maybe 5 tables incl us.

After a very long wait, the waitress apologetically offered to bring us chips and salsa, which was much appreciated – they were obviously trying to hurry the kitchen along as we received our food shortly afterward. Our entrees were good but not worth the wait – honestly, the best part of the meal was the chips and salsa, which was pretty tasty. Carnitas were good, as were the beans and rice, but both fries and corn tortillas were soggy and limp.

Given how many other Tex-Mex/Mexican choices there are in the area, think it is unlikely we will be back. Bad days do happen and we appreciate the staff trying to make it right when they were short-handed, but unfortunately not enough to make us reconsider.

Great margaritas. Tacos are a 5 out of 10. Vida Tacos a 10 out of 10 and true west coast beach style. Bar service is great. Restaurant service is really slow. Ditch the old bay seasoning on the chips. That alone is why we don’t go here anymore. Somethings just should not be f-cked with. Chips and salsa is at the top of that list.
