Wow! Best chef salad I’ve had in a very long time. Everything was fresh and crisp! Portion sizes are pretty big as well. Nothing was soggy like you see with chain restaurants. I’ve not had anything but the salad’s but I do know when I go in to get my lunch, the pizza always smells soo good and I’ve heard nothing but good things about the sub’s! I cannot recommend this deli enough! The staff is always super friendly and always going the extra mile to make sure I’m happy! Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!!

My fiancée and I like to try different local places around us. Stopped into ricos and the service was great. The woman working the counter was so friendly and memorized everyone by name. Friendly environment and great food. We got the buffalo chicken sub and the turkey provolone panini. We did try a slice of pizza as well. Food was cooked to perfection.

This is the best sandwich place in Michigan that a person can eat. You can try any of them and you’ll love it. Everything is fresh and made to order. They also have one of the best pizzas you can try. The tomato sauce they have is spectacular.

I’ve driven past here for a while and regret each time now. The owners are friendly and the food is amazing. I had a slice of the deluxe pizza while waiting for my sandwich and gladly suffered third degree burns because I couldn’t put it down. Fresh toppings and cheese with a perfect crust: not too doughy or too crisp.
The panini style buffalo chicken grilled cheese was amazing also and came with a pickle and coleslaw . A bag of chips was an option if one would pass on a very good coleslaw.
The pizza slice was just under $4 I believe and the sandwiches run $8-10. All the pricing is absolutely a steal for quality and quantity. If you’re anywhere nearby, this has to be a regular stop!

If you reside or work near Alpine, failing to visit Rico’s Deli would be a missed opportunity. Their lunchtime offerings include pizza by the slice, sandwiches, and other deli options, catering to diverse tastes. Notably, their pizza is among the finest in the area!

Amazing hidden gem! The best pizzas and sandwiches. My favorite is the Italian pizza, if you haven’t tried it I highly recommend it! Sells pizza by the slice if you want to try before you buy a big one! Rico is so such a sweet man! Just check.the hours cause they close mid day and reopen in evening! Only downside is because of the pizza ovens it gets a little warm in there!

Always a great meal served up with a smile! Loved every item I’ve ordered here. Highlights are the Reuben, which is by far the best around GR and the Pastrami with coleslaw is delish too…..they make it all fresh, hot and full of heart and soul. Today I was made the BEST pizza I’ve had in a long time!! Green olives with bacon and pineapple on half….Homerun!! I’ll be back again and again.

Great little sandwich /pizza place with lots of tasty choices. Owner is really nice and takes pride in making tasty food. Pizza slices and daily sandwich specials. Grab and go cooler with lots of variety. Clearly a new diamond on Alpine.

THE FOOD IS GOOD BUT PRICING IS UNUPDATED OR THERE ARE HIDDEN FEES. There is a something messed up I noticed when I went there twice.
A zingy? Chicken sub on their menu costs $10.50. I order and the total comes out to around $12.71? or so? (I payed 13 and got a quarter and some pennies in change) That doesn’t make sense given Michigan’s sales tax of 6%. If everything was correct, the sub would’ve cost only $11.13. So how did it get to around $12.71?

The answer is they must’ve forced a 15% tip or the prices on the menu are wrong.
Option 1: Forced Tip pricing
10.50 + (10.50 * 0.15 tip) + (10.50 *0.06 sales tax) = 12.705.
Close enough to the answer. And it also answers why they didn’t give me a receipt after ordering if so.
Option 2: Menu prices are wrong and the sub is actually $12
12.00 + (12.00 * 0.06 sales tax) = 12.72
Very close or spot on. I just didn’t count the pennies so actual total might be 12.71 or 12.72.

This is pretty dishonest pricing. There’s two reasons for this price discrepancy. Either the sub is $12 and sales tax (12.72) or it’s 10.50 with an effective 21% tax (12.71).

Either way it’s not updated or disclosed so if you go here be prepared to spend a dollar or two more than what you think the actual price is. Good Sub though.
