We are in Salem for a month and asked the girl at Dutch Bros. for taco recommendations. She sent us to Ricky’s Tacos. We’ve been back twice since then, we love this place. The prices are low low low and the food is delicious.
Tuesday is “Taco Tuesday” and chicken tacos are only $1.00! You just can’t beat that price. We will come every Tuesday that we are in the Salem area, without a doubt.
The green sauce has a real good taste and the red sauce is the hotter of the two. I recommend adding equal amounts of both to your taco, burrito, or torta.
We have tried other Mexican spots in town, and each and every time we ended up saying: “We should have gone to Ricky’s.”

I came here to order a chicken burrito based off on the good reviews. Here’s my experience. Pros: the guy was quick at making the burrito. He was polite. Cons: I was charged for more than the price displayed for the Burrito. I payed 8.25 for the regular sized burrito which I was told was 7.00 and the large was 8.50. The burrito barely had meat, it had more rice than meat or beans. The taste of the burrito was dry, there was not that savory taste that I normally look for when buying from good street taco trucks. I had high hopes for tasty food here.

I have been going here for over 20 years. When I worked nearby, I had lunch there 3 days a week. I have taken all of my family and friends there. Great people. Great food. I will continue to go there for many years to come.

Ricky’s Taco Truck did an excellent job for us for the Sybil’s 40th anniversary celebration. This is the second time we have used them. Great tacos and great reviews on the veggie burrito. Thanks again.

Awesome food! Was super fast, delicious and cheap! We live right near it so it’s definitely gonna be a new fav, way better than the taco trucks at the yard

Ricky’s Taco Truck is awesome! Ricardo owns this local food truck, and he takes pride in his food, he toast the buns to perfections, pacts his tortas’ full of amenities and meat of your choice and is never dry or undercooked. Food is always fresh and good, super good guy with a great sense of humor. Their is also benches you can sit down to eat if you want to relax before hitting the road again.

Unfortunately I haven’t had the same experience as others. I’ve gone here 3 separate occasions and overall it hasn’t been anything to rave about. Any time I get carne asada it’s full of fat, tendons, and even bone pieces. Every bite of meat has something attatched to it and it’s very unpleasant. At first I figured it was just a coincidence so I didn’t think much of it. Now that it’s been multiple times it seems to be normal. Hopefully we’ll be able to find a good quality mexican place around here soon.
