The drink menu was an incredible assortment of teas and nonalcoholic drinks, and they also have beer and wine. I had a nonalcoholic sumac and chili seltzer that was fantastic. Show up 30 minutes before you want to eat, put your name on the sign in board with your phone number, select either inside or outside. Ask the wait time and go get a cocktail someplace. We chose the rooftop at Warfield for some Prosecco.
The staff couldn’t be friendlier and it’s a good sign when the kitchen is almost as big as the interior dining space. We sat outside and had green papaya salad, watermelon and shrimp, sautéed greens, and a noodle dish with beef and other things that was really scrumptious. We forgot to order the clams, but
we were already full sharing four plates, but others might want five. Everything we ate was so balanced and delicious with incredible sauces and the perfect garnishes. Experience it for yourself and pick your favorite.
I came here with a group of friends and we were able to grab a table outside which was great! The weather was perfect and the outdoor seating area was very welcoming. Our server was on top of things which made the experience all the better, because we ordered so much off of the menu!
The menu is comprised of so many delightful, shareable dishes! We ordered the following:
Green Papaya Salad: Such a fresh and delicious dish! The lemongrass and cilantro really brighten up the flavor of the dish, and it comes with a side spoon full hot Thai chilies for those who want to add a kick to their bite!
Hoisin Cashew-Shrimp: One of our favorite dishes; so much so that we ended up getting a second order! The sauce was so full of flavor and the shrimp was cooked to perfection.
Samui Squid: The batter on this was just the right amount to add a soft crunch. The dipping sauce was light, yet complex, and had a nice acidity to it.
K.F.C. (Korean Fried Chicken): I could rave about how exceptional this chicken was until I reached the ends of the earth. This was a second dish that we got a second order of after polishing the first order. They have absolutely perfected the crispiness on this chicken and the flavor had the perfect level of spice to it. This is a MUST ORDER item.
Chili-Oil Noodles: Upon first look, you may notice that the noodles are hard to find under the piling of various toppings. Give it a stir and buckle in for some of the best udon noodles you’ve ever had. The different toppings provide such a nice crunch that pair with the noodles while the chili oil still prevails as a prominent flavor in the dish.
Andreas’ pot-stickers: I didn’t partake in this dish, but it looked very well made! They had a great wrapper-to-filling ratio and had a beautiful golden brown cook to them!
Sake: They only offer cold sake on the menu, which is a plus for me as I prefer cold sake to hot. We ordered a few different bottles including the Joto Yuzu, the Joto Junmai Nigori, and one other bottle (name escapes me). All were delicious, but I will caution to only order the Yuzu one if you do like that very citrus forward flavor. We anticipated that the flavor would be lightly flavored with the yuzu, but the citrus was not hiding anywhere here.
I will think about this meal for a long time and I hope to return very soon to try even more outstanding dishes!
Pickup was prompt and the restaurant was always packed!
The online ordering was perfect for introverts (me). They were one of the few places open late and I was kind of desperate to get food for my kids (thought it would be easier to get food at one of the many restaurants on the Sun Valley Lodge property- not so). But boy am I ever happy about it now!
Everything was so good. My 2 and 9-yr-old loved the noodles and rice. The chicken was fiery, but very very yummy.
Will be back again soon!
And OMG!, the food was a creative amalgamation of all our favorite Asian cuisines, from Green Curry Chicken, Korean Fried Chicken (“KFC”), the highlight of our dinner, & Chili-Oil Udon, to rice ball dumplings, addictive Sichuan ground lamb green beans, & Hoisin Cashew-Shrimp.
Twists on Indian, Vietnamese, & Malaysian food too.
Our server recommended we order 3-4 dishes to share, family style.
They also offer to-go, put-together meals.
Lively atmosphere, charming, welcoming, bustling blue culinary home away from home.
Hat’s off to the chef, servers, & host.
We loved the ribs and potstickers the most. All the dishes were so flavorful though!
Dishes our group got were the green beans (they have fantastic lamb with them), ribs (the honey sauce could be eaten on its own), the kfc (so so spicy but perfect texture), potstickers (fried and delicious dipping sauce), papaya salad (fresh and perfect start to the meal), curry soup (if you like yellow curry you’ll love this), and the special (it was a Korean beef rice soup and our least favorite but nice after a ski day).
