Great little place. Looks small on the outside but it does a lot with its space inside, and the window seated area is a charming place to eat. Each time I’ve been here the food has come out quick and been delicious, and Tammy is one of the nicest ladies you’ll ever meet when she comes to greet you. Nothing but good things to say about the Nutmeg Grille!

We got a booth by the window and basic breakfast foods around noon on a Sunday. The home fries are amazing!!! Regular seasoning taken to the next level with fresh rosemary. Eggs were cooked perfectly (I’m picky about my over-easy eggs), and service was quick and friendly. We’ll be back!
Edit: We were there again today and I had fresh fruit with my breakfast. It was not the awful melon mix that most places offer, but real seasonal and freshly cut!

Comfortable little place for breakfast.
Diner style; layed back, quick service, standard menu options, and real food at (very) decent prices.
The wait staff were struggling a little (tables requesting things like ketchup, jam, cream, and more coffee), but I think one of the two servers were training.
Small space and busy during peak times. We enjoyed a late weekend breakfast, by the time we left a line was forming at the door.
Parking is limited, there is a lot beside the restaurant but it belongs to the restaurant on the other side of the lot and there are many signs stating such.

YES!!! THE WAFFLES!!! Neat little diner…went on a slow day and I feel like I’m cheating on my beloved Waffle House, but good lord the waffles!!!! Sweet waitstaff, good parking…sausage links and tea all good…so many things to try
..will definitely be back!!!!

The breakfast classics were amazing, the waffles are super light and fluffy but still maintained a crunch on the outside. Eggs, bacon, potato hash and sausage were wonderful as well. The sausage tastes almost fresh, or at least locally produced. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because of the Salmon Eggs Benedict. I am not sure what possessed me to get this wildcard menu item, but it’s better to just stick with the diner classics at Rick’s!

It’s a small eatery for breakfast and lunch. Not far from the Torrington Days Inn.
We had fried eggs with bacon, Canadian bacon, home fries, toast, and coffee. Everything was very good. It had a pleasant ambiance and everyone was friendly. I recommend this place for anyone with or without children for a wholesome experience.

Really enjoyed a quick breakfast here. Spotless and cozy with very friendly folks making me feel welcome on a cold day. It was my first visit and was well worth navigating the weird Torrington traffic circle to find it. Very well priced: I had an omelet which was delicious and the coffee was a real brew, not the watered down stuff that passes for coffee in other places: and they kept my cup full which was much appreciated..

Delicious breakfast food. We had their breakfast sandwiches, blueberry pancakes, and kielbasa and it was all great. Also very friendly employees.

A special place! Breakfast was wonderful. We were greeted with a smile. Very clean. Food was cooked perfectly. For drinks, N got a coffee, M got a hot mint tea (they have a lot of tea options), and I got a freshly brewed iced tea. For food, N got Irish eggs benedict with a side of Canadian bacon, M got the big breakfast with French toast and a side of home fried potatoes, and I got a cheddar cheese omelet and a single waffle. It all came out together, hot, and reasonably timed. Good prices.
