Pretty good! Fried food is good! The cod fish fry was a light batter with mild-medium salt level, still warm, but a smidge overcooked (but still good!). Also, we got the fried shrimp (not beer battered). It was pretty good, nothing special, but warm, mild salt, good. The “seasoned” fries are curly fries (ala @rbys style) and the tater tots are tots, but it’s fried food and just what we wanted! Simple bar atmosphere with the obligatory Packers paraphernalia, bar regulars, and family/college servers. Overall, it was good and we’ll go again when we’re in town.

A veteran friend of mine took me here , as he thought very highly of this establishment. I can see why. There is definitely a neighborhood vibe to the place , where everyone knows each other. However I did not feel unwelcome or out of place. The service was friendly and professional. I ordered chicken fingersand fries, figuring the kitchen would have a hard time messing up this order. 15 mins later I received a huge plate of deliciousness. I was pleasantlysurprised at how good my food was. Hot and fresh and seasoned well. As a black man i sensed no bias or discrimination. The establishment treated everyone with courtesy and respect. I highly recommend this place and I myself will return soon.

Words cannot express how much me and my group enjoyed our time here. Although it was Monday my group of 16 walked in for my birthday and were able to be sat immediately. Our food was great and food came out in a timely manner given our size. I would like to recognize the waitress who was on shift alone on the night of 3/2 for her outstanding service and poppy energy. I highly recommend this restaurant and plan to go there on a weekly basis because of its atmosphere. – it was a long night , I forgot the waitresses name…

My hubby and I had our first date here over 7 years ago and decided to come back and give it a try since its been so long. They did not disappoint!!! The mini crab cakes were delicious and made with real crab!!! The mushroom Swiss burger, chicken parmesan wrap, fries and tots were all on point!!! We will be back!!!

My son and I were passing through and he suggested that we try Rick’s Eastside pub. When his wife went to college in Whitewater, it was their go to spot. We stopped by on a Sunday at lunchtime and it was a nice quiet spot for a quick burger. Both of us ordered the bacon blue cheese burgers with tater tots. The blue cheese spread was excellent, and the hamburger was perfectly cooked. The tater tots were some of the best I’ve ever had, crunchy and delicious.
The only downside is they forgot to put the bacon on our burgers. We were so hungry we didn’t mention it because there was no way we were waiting to eat. Lol!

I was in town dropping my daughter off at UW-Whitewater, and was recommended to go here if I wanted a good burger. Even though it appeared to be all regulars (everyone knew each other’s names) staring at me from the bar, I was served with kindness. The cheese curds gave me the perfect taste of WI, and the burger was a perfect medium doneness.

Delicious food and a great atmosphere. Second time patron. I will be coming down for the corned beef and cabbage every St. Patrick’s Day. There’s more corned beef carrots and potatoes under the cabbage. Don’t let the photo fool ya. You definitely get your money’s worth.

We really enjoyed the place overall. Service should have been much better. They have advertising for discount when you pay with cash, but I wasn’t offered a discount off my $62 bill which was paid with cash. Bartender who greeted us was not very friendly, but the server who took over was amazing and offered to take our picture as we were there celebrating my son’s birthday.
Overall, a great atmosphere – but would like to see better, attentive, customer service…and a discount on my cash bill.
