Ricks Drive in and out is one of many restaurants opened by Mr. Rick in the Los Angeles area. The current owner started out as a breakfast cook here in 1977 and became an owner by the year 1978. In 2004 the city of Gardena filed eminent domain on the restaurant, yet, through the efforts of many loyal customers and Angelenos’, the ruling was overturned. Rick’s continues being a staple of Gardena, you may know us for our famous sign on Rosecrans Ave. or as the best breakfast, burger, Pastrami, and Chili Cheese Fries around.

The burgers are were it’s at here. We tried a couple things on our visit recently and loved the burgers! The tacos were also pretty good. I do not recommend the taquitos. The BLT was very basic. Customer service was good!

If you see her there, bad news. She will not make fresh coffee for you, instead she’ll try to give you hours old coffee that has been sitting there and tell you it has been freshly made, yet she wants to heat it up inside a microwave.
The tables and booths need replacing!! The staff needs replacing with customer service oriented team.
Trash is left on the tables.
The owner should be ashamed of himself and his employees. This tells you that the owner doesn’t care about his customers.

I got the deluxe burger n fries. I asked for patties well grilled, it wasnt char broiled. Everything else was good. I went on a Wednesday at 7pm. Fries delicious flavor.

OK I’ve been back since I had my not so good experience. I ordered a simple breakfast #4 without the pancakes that was $5.04 and the next day I came back and ordered the same breakfast which was $8.04 I asked the server why the change and she said the 1st server charged me the wrong price which she happened to be there on that day she looked at her and said she didn’t charge me that price which made me look like a liar. I paid the higher price even though I felt I shouldn’t have. As for the food excellent always hot and fresh drive-through moves pretty rapidly however be careful exiting for the pedestrians coming from the right there is a blind spot

Don’t go here. They will rip you off. I ordered a large chili cheese fries which suppose to be $7 and some change but the lady charged me nearly $10… This is a new low for Rick’s, no wonder I never received a receipt. I been coming here since I was a kid this is ridiculous.

I have driven past this place for years and always thought of stopping by because I like these older survivor restaurants. The food was fresh and tasty I had a hamburger combo. Large adjacent parking lot. There are tables and chairs in one section of the restaurant and booth and counter in the other area.
