We ordered the jerk chicken (medium) and jerk shrimp (medium). They did not have the jerk shrimp available which was pretty inconvenient. From what we got tho, the portion size was great! Jerk chicken was really good, great hint of spice, peas and rice was also good, but the vegetables needed more salt and flavor overall. It wasn’t the best Jamaican food I’ve had, but it wasn’t the worst either. We would definitely order again, most likely a different time so the food is available.

WORST OXTAIL I HAVE EVER HAD. Uncooked, tough as well done steak and the whole dish was so dry. Oxtail is my favorite dish I’ve had it hundreds of times throughout my life and I was severely let down by this horrible quality and high price. Looks can be deceiving, it did not look as dry as it was. Rice was dry and flavorless too. This location just doesn’t care to try to serve good food.

Had to throw it away smelled so bad and messed my stomach up for 2 days – December 2025 . The young girls at the counter are very rude (glasses) . Specifically called and asked do they have everything that I was ordering online & the lady who answered told me a bold faced lie. Gave me nothing but chicken and rice. Just from the staff I delt with on Sunday! 5 stars compared to other Caribbean establishments!
The ackee & saltfish had big chunks of fist, the ackee was very fresh & the tomatoes & onions complemented the entire dish. The banana, yam & dumplings were also good. The chicken soup was flavorful & just want the body needs on a cold day. The establishment itself was nice & well maintained.
This was my first time visiting Rico’s & it won’t be my last.

I bought a small curry chicken this evening and I only have one regret that I did not buy a large 1. Everything about it was good, the rice was good the vegetables nice and fresh the curry chicken was excellent. I really enjoyed the good food. Job well done chef keep it up!!!

I’m very disappointed when they first open up they were beautiful. I love the food. I love the atmosphere. I love the customer service. I haven’t been there in a while. I went yesterday Sunday after church. I ordered one extra large oxtails white rice extra gravy. I ordered another medium size oxtails with rice and peas, and the vegetables that came in I paid for two side orders of plantains, which is dry. They didn’t put in and pay for extra gravy, but she gave me a little bit amount and there wasn’t I would not recommend them again. I spent over $53 and that store yesterday and that was buying two $.99 Arizona is and all the rest of it was there stop the soup I ordered the chicken soup which I’d love it was so hot. I tasted it and I was unable to eat it so that’s $10 and change loss. They need to do better or they gonna be out of business. I’m highly disappointed.
