Absolutely stunning experience at Rick Shores. The view alone is worth the visit. The dining area faces the beach with open windows, and we went during sunset for dinner. It was genuinely magical.

We didn’t make a booking and were trying to get one beforehand, but luckily they always keep tables for walk-ins. We didn’t have to wait and even got a bar seat, which was perfect.

The host was friendly and informative, setting the tone right away. Our server, Nataniel, was fun, warm, and genuinely attentive. He gave us honest and thoughtful recommendations on what to order, and every suggestion was spot on. He’s a vibe

Amazing food, incredible views, and great service. Will definitely be back.

Rick Shores is an amazing restaurant that really has it all. The food is delicious, the staff are so friendly and the view is astonishing.
We were fortunate enough to have a beach front view that felt like you were looking at a postcard!

Our waitress Elizabeth was a breath of fresh air that added so much to our experience. She was very personable, had a great knowledgeable of the menu and made excellent recommendations about the food and activities in the area as well. You are lucky to have her.

The food was amazing and we loved the flavours and the creativity. The salmon spring rolls were an unexpected highlight, with the avocado cream pairing just delightful.
The super light housemade roti is an absolute must to soak up the sauce from one of their delicious curries. We had the coconut prawn curry and it was divine.
The signature Moreton Bay bug rolls are delicious as they look, and the Phoenix Wagyu in the truffle honey sauce is a must try.

A beautiful location with amazing food and staff. Well done Rick Shores, thank you for a wonderful experience that we won’t forget.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rick Shores is an ABSOLUTE MUST-VISIT!

Seriously, stop what you’re doing and book a table here. I am still dreaming about this place!

First off, the view is unreal, right on Burleigh Heads, you can’t get a better spot to soak up the Gold Coast vibe.

Now for the food. There are two things you must order: the Roti and Burrata and the Moreton Bay Bug Roll. That Roti and Burrata starter is ridiculously good, and the Bug Roll is famous for a reason, every single bite was an explosion of perfectly delicious, well-balanced flavours. Honestly, everything we tried was faultless!

But the absolute cherry on top was the incredible hospitality. We were looked after so well. A HUGE shout-out to Lachie, he was an amazing host! He was super friendly, made us feel so comfortable, and ensured we had the best possible experience. Give that guy a raise!

Go for the food, go for the view, but stay for the whole fantastic experience. You won’t regret it!

We can’t thank the team enough for a wonderful lunch. Lauren looked after us so well. The $90 set menu was magical. Each dish was sublime. We had sparkling and an Albarino. Very good. I asked them about a cocktail that wasn’t on the list and if course they happily made it. I can tell you, we didn’t eat any dinner! A special place ❤️

Wasn’t sure what to expect for an asian fusion restaurant but was pleasantly surprised. The view is a given but thought that each dish was carefully crafted and had a multi-dimensional layer of taste to it. It truly belongs in a different tier and the one chef’s hat is well deserved. Our server, Adam was attentive, friendly and made everyone feel comfortable. A must visit if you are on the Gold Coast.

Two local senior ladies were craving a Bug Roll and a glass of Rose, so headed to Rick Shores to sit outside and do so. We arrived just after opening at 11am to secure a table, but were offered a bar table inside. It was perfect with fabulous views of the ‍♂️ and . We ordered the Fried Moreton Bay Bug Roll, Sriracha Mayonnaise, Gem Lettuce, Brioche Bun ($26.00) and a glass of French Rose. This was followed by Spiced Shiitake San Choy Bau, Water Chestnut, Pickled Enoki Mushrooms ($12.00), so delicious I forgot to take a photo. Next, we tried the Lobster & Prawn Jade Har Gow, Smoked Honey Truffle, Chilli Oil ($20.00). Our server, Sammy, made the experience as she was professional, attentive and engaging. Thanks Sammy! Overall, we couldn’t fault anything. The food is always excellent, the ambience was relaxed coastal and the views fantastic. We’ll be back again soon.

Rick Shores at Burleigh is simply exceptional. From the moment you arrive, the service is warm, attentive and effortlessly professional — you feel looked after without it ever being intrusive.

The ambience is hard to beat: ocean views, natural light, and that relaxed Burleigh energy that instantly puts you at ease. It’s the kind of place where time slows down and conversation comes easily.

And the food… outstanding. Thoughtful, beautifully presented and packed with flavour — every dish delivered.

Rick Shores isn’t just a great restaurant, it’s an experience. Consistently impressive and a place we’ll always come back to. Thank you Anthony Clark

Everything about this place is why it’s so hard to get a booking. Amazing views, good food and friendly staff. We had the $90 set menu for lunch and enjoyed each dish although could have skipped the last main of beef curry as was a bit dry. Other than that the drinks and day was perfect.

We dined at Rick Shores on New Year’s Eve for lunch with a large reservation. We opted for the $90 banquet along with the $100 drinks package per person. Overall, we had a good experience, though it wasn’t quite amazing.

We were seated in an excellent location—right on the water near the open windows—which really added to the atmosphere. Despite how busy the restaurant was, the staff did a great job ensuring drinks were consistently served, which we appreciated.

The only downside was the food. Portions were quite small and a little underwhelming overall. The standout dish was the Moreton Bay bug roll, however for $90 per person the banquet felt disappointing in value.

I would be happy to return on a regular weekend and would likely opt to order à la carte rather than choosing the banquet again

We were lucky to enjoy one of the most exclusive tables with a direct view of the beach and ocean a breathtaking setting that made the experience truly special. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff friendly and attentive, and their wine recommendations were perfectly on point. We came for lunch with friends and chose the set menu, which was beautifully balanced and exceeded our expectations.

Altogether, Rick Shores combines stunning views with excellent food and service …a place well worth visiting if you can secure a table.
