Made a roadtrip from DFW with the parents visiting from Namibia Africa, stumbled on Richter Bakhaus. Order 2 giant cinnamon rolls with light icing, 2 cafe latte, 4 hot chocolates … it was AMAZING!!
Well then we had plan our way back to DFW to go through Boerne again to grab some cinnamon rolls for “padkos”. Probably the best cinnamon rolls we ever had!! “Dankie”
Very friendly staff, fast service.
And you can smell the cinnamon from farrrr.
Geseënde Kersfees!!

(We went at 9am and had no wait time, might have some wait time later in the morning )
Also recommend to call ahead of time to keep some aside

The cinnamon roll was so good and worth the hype. Drove about 4 hours to try this viral cinnamon roll. I was scared to go because I went on the day before Thanksgiving and figured they would be busy or run out of cinnamon rolls. Luckily they were not. Felt that the service could’ve been a bit nicer and friendlier. The ladies in the front seemed a bit annoyed and ready for customers to leave.

Overall very cool, do I need to go back, no. We had heard about the giant cinnamon rolls and needed to check it out. People were lined up out front before it opened (just a handful) on a Tuesday and we got our giant cinnamon roll and sat outside in the sun to enjoy. Overall, a little crispy for my taste, but totally cool. They were having some technical difficulties while we were there, but the staff was excellent!

Best cinnamon roll I’ve ever eaten. It took 3 of us to eat it. Not one bite was overly sweet. We will be back on our next visit to the hill country.

$10 super sized infamous cinnamon roll soaked in super sweetness. 4 because Boerne native says recipe has changed, not as fluffy. Still deelish, one cinnamon roll plenty to share or save for snacky later.

While visiting New Braunfels, my wife and I had to swing by Boerne to check out Richter’s massive cinnamon roll everyone has been raving about. I’m by no means a cinnamon roll connoisseur, my wife is.

We got to Richter’s when it opened and people were already waiting. A good sign, right? The roll behind the pastry case was so massive, the bakery could only display one. The staff were very nice and attentive.

I grabbed myself an oat milk latte and a gluten free chocolate torte so I could sit back and enjoy the cinnamon roll show, but y’all. It did not live up to the hype.

The cinnamon roll had a decent taste but it was not freshly made or fully baked. Based on the texture, temperature, and dryness, we suspect it was a leftover from the prior day. Reheating it in the microwave just made it harder and chewier. When my wife got closer to the middle, she discovered the roll wasn’t baked all the way through because the center was really doughy. Needless to say, she was disappointed.

Personally, I enjoyed GF chocolate torte, which was moist and tasted like it had a hint of amaretto.

Really nice place for coffee and desserts. My friends have been wanting to make a road trip to Boerne to try their famous cinnamon roll. We tried their cinnamon roll, bread pudding, carrot cake and a pastry. Very delicious! Well worth the one hour drive from Universal City.

Friendly staff and an assortment of pastries. There’s no seating inside but there are some tables immediately outside the door in a shaded area. I got a lavender matcha latte with a shot of espresso, really good! They offer to warm up any pastries that you get. The danish was really good…flakey, tender crust and I loved the real blueberry filling. The carrot cake was moist. The cinnamon roll was beyond my expectations in the best way! It was huge! Zero false advertisements! I couldn’t eat it all in one sitting sob that’s definitely saying something. It was tender, filled with cinnamon and the frosting was great. You could see the specks of vanilla bean.

I went for the hype but stayed for the cinnamon roll the size of a baby. Warm and delicious, they make them good and are always willing to warm it up or glaze it how you like. Just be aware though parking in front is like 6 dollars, find parking on the street and walk to it, spend some calories before you eat a few thousand of them with the cinnamon roll

The cinnamon roll from the gods. The perfect amount of sweet mixed with cinnamon and soft dough.

Don’t pass this place up.

The kolache had a great balance of pastry and sausage.

The rest of the items we will return for. The hour drive was worth it. See you all again soon.
