We were a group of nine and treated very well. Service was like family, food was delicious, dessert was top notch. Seriously, good place, military oriented, great drinks and the bathroom was clean. Can’t ask for much else.

Just tried Richie’s for the first time while staying in Bear Mountain area. Brought my mom visiting from Europe, and we were both impressed! The prime rib roast and lamb chops were so tasty and tender. The service was super friendly and polite. The old-school restaurant vibe and decor added to the charm. We loved it and definitely recommend it. Excited to go back next time I’m in town!

Talk about a hidden gem. Great food, charming atmosphere. Reminded me of Billy Joel’s “Scenes from an Italian Restaurant ” we had the entire place to ourselves. Parking is tricky and it’s cash only.

Smelled like someone dusty attic.. Was going to tell my Husband and friend we should leave but didnt as we fasted all day and climbed bear mountain for 6 hrs… The food was disgusting and when i sent it back due to this the waitress yeled at me and said the cook complained that i sent it back.. i also was charged for the disgusting meal amd was told the cook isnt making anything now as they had a empty restaurant yet they were more concerned about serving “reservations” that hadnt arrived yet to make my food right… if your reading this review.. i highly suggest you protect your energy and stomach my choosing a better place elsewhere.. as nobody should be treated this way

I have to be honest, I loved this place. I’ve been to the area literally 50 times but never have eaten here. I walked in, and assumed it would be relatively plain based on the outside appearance. Instead, I found a very cool ambiance, a nice bar, and a prime rib special that is one of the best I’ve had in a long time. I will definitely return!

Great, cozy, authentic small restaurant with very pleasant atmosphere, staff, and kind and welcoming owner! We truly enjoyed our time together with our friends. This place has been open for more than 65 years, and still has its charm. There is still an original menu in one of the smaller rooms, which everyone should look at. Very interesting, and at the same time a bit depressing to see how prices went up compared to 1960s.
Thank you for everything. Hopefully someone can run this place for another 65 years and keep it as authentic as it has been.

Party of 3 ate in the bar area, and even though the bartender was also our server, Donna was very friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding, the king and queen cut prime rib was cooked to order- perfectly. And the third member fully enjoyed her lamb chops. Definitely looking to go back!

5 stars all around. Food was sooo delicious, from the soups to the mains. Very good! Atmosphere was extremely cozy and the server was AMAZING. Just overflowing with charm. Would absolutely return here! Be aware the kitchen closes at 7:30!
