Richie got it down on brining the huli huli chicken. A generous size of half a chicken comes out so moist each and every time you get it! Menu expanded with waygu burger, fried Korean chicken and fried noodles. You’ll get hooked before you know it!

Chicken was tasty and tender.
The ribs were tasty pork, the thick bones had more grissle than meat and zero smokey BBQ flavor. More like they were boiled then thrown on the grill briefly. Just my opinion. I would not order the ribs again.

This is just a food truck so there isn’t anywhere really to eat your food! But you should definitely stop by and grab a plate to go. There are only two options most of the time, half chicken or ribs. I got the chicken and it was fantastic! And a ton of food for under 20$. The ribs looked really good as well. It was super fast, just walk up and order and its ready once they get the plate together. If you like meat, I 10/10 recommend.

All I need to say is, LOCAL FOOD & food truck comforts. Burgers with local bakery buns, Kiawe smoked wood ribs and Hulu style chicken!
Look for their specials like this Garlic shrimp.
The only spot on the east side, let alone Kaua’i, that got this BBQ down.
The owner is on the grill, so the quality is masterful; sets them apart from any chain bbq spot on island.
They do an amazing breakfast on Sunday, highly recommend the Loco Moco

Brah, if you’re on Kauai and haven’t hit up Richie’s Huli yet, what you even doing?! This place is straight-up da kine—local style, no tourist fluff, just pure fire coming off da grill.
Da huli huli chicken? Juicy, smoky, skin crispy perfection. Dat char and marinade hit different—moist inside, flavor exploding every bite. I wen get da combo plate with BBQ ribs too… oh my goodness, dem ribs fall-off-da-bone tender, saucy, and so ono I almost cried a little. And don’t sleep on da juicy Wagyu burger—thick, melt-in-your-mouth patty on a fresh local bun, cheese oozing, pure heaven between bites. Mac salad was on point (creamy, not too sweet), rice perfect, and portions so generous I had grind for two days. All dis for prices dat make you feel like you stealing from da aunties!
It’s one of those blink-and-you-miss-it spots in Kapaa—follow da smoke, park quick before sell out (cuz dey do, fast!), and thank me later. No fancy seating, just picnic tables, good vibes, and locals lining up. Dis is how Kauai BBQ supposed to be—simple, fresh, and stupid delicious.
Richie and crew, mahalo nui loa for keeping it real. 10/10, worth driving from Poipu or Hanalei. If I could give 6 stars, I would. Go now, before I eat it all!

Delicious! Richie was recommended by our tour guide at Lydgate Farms and it did not disappoint. The ribs were cooked to perfection and so good. Go see Richie if you want some delicious ribs and chicken.

Tried Richies based on a recommendation from our guide at Lydgate Farms (Great job, Mason!). Food was fabulous. We had Huli Chicken plate and Ribs plate. Portions are huge. I’ve never had a more moist chicken breast. Skin and meat had fantastic flavor. Would recommend.

Drive up food truck on the weekend can be very busy. I live on Maui, but come over fairly often to Kauai to visit my daughter’s ohana. It’s a must for me. I’ve got to have one of those barbecue chickens while I’m here and I’ve taken them back to Maui too. You will not be disappointed
