This place is great!! Stopped in for a few drinks before seeing a show at Rialto. Met the owner Marzell, super nice guy. Amazing bartender and waitstaff. Drinks were great! Would have loved to try the food, but we had just eaten a big dinner before heading to the show. The food that the people sitting by us at the bar received looked delicious and they were giving great feedback about the food to the bartender so I’m assuming it must have been good. I don’t live in Joliet but next time I’m visiting I’ll definitely go to Richardson’s to try the grilled mac n cheese, check it out on TikTok!!

Ordered a salad through grub hub. Got there and they advised that it is not a menu item. Okay but was through the link on your website but fine. Swapped for ultimate chicken salad. Received salad. Loaded with white onion, old carrots and dry chicken. Didn’t have the avocado or egg listed on the menu. Cost $19. Not at all worth it.

The food was wonderful and the service was even better! The portions were way bigger than I expected for the prices that we paid. If you haven’t been to Richardsons you should take the time to visit. It will be worth it.

2-13-26 Carry Out Order
Today I was working late in downtown Joliet. I Googled restaurants near me and landed on Chicago Street Pub, but when I called to place an order, they did not answer. Then I called Richardson’s. Richardsons answered and stated 10 min completion to cook my order. So, I arrive about 15 min later, and they apparently had no record of my order. So, I had to sit for another 15 min while my order was cooked
– Fridays are apparently bingo night, and that was fun to observe while waiting for my food.
– Richardson’s generally struck me as a clean place.

Met the owner when my go to spot was closed for the 3rd time in a row. I asked about the menu and he sold me as soon as he said “soulful sandwich”. It’s better than you could imagine. Warm, inviting atmosphere clean and very nice and presentable server and staff.

This is my favorite local spot. The owners, Sam & Marzell are great people, the staff is friendly and quick, and the whole place just has that comfortable “I can actually relax here” vibe.
The food is consistently delicious, and the beer on tap is ice-cold — exactly what I need after a long day. There’s always something going on, too. My personal favorite? Naughty bingo. It never fails to crack me up and make the night a little more interesting.

This place never disappoints! I ordered the ribs, all I can say is AMAZING! Best ribs ever! Tender flavorful and the coleslaw had just the right flavors to accompany the ribs. Marzel and Sam have created a gem for Joliet and if you haven’t gone….. you’re missing out! Looking forward to my return! Thank you for always bringin it!

First and last time eating at Richardsons. Going to a concert at the Rialto and group wanted a bite beforehand. Read reviews and thought it sounded like a good place.
Nope, got there when it opened, tables and floors filthy, but thought must have had a busy crowd and no time to clean up after close the night before.
Beer was cold, only good thing. Ordered appetizers first, Greasy homemade chips with a tiny cup of salsa, had to ask for a bowl. Ground turkey burger lukewarm, no seasoning at all. Beef was not worth mentioning, lack of beef, terribly dry and no peppers that were ordered.
One of the drinks came with a fly frozen in the ice cube… gross

Richardson’s Downtown Sports Bar and Grill – A True Hometown Gem
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine smiles and quick, friendly service. The atmosphere at Richardson’s is exactly what you want in a hometown sports bar.
I’m a sucker for a great sports bar and a solid smash burger, and here I found both. The food was excellent, the drinks were perfectly made, and the owners were actually out mingling with guests, something you don’t see often anymore. It gave the whole experience a personal, community feel.
The outdoor seating is a huge bonus, especially on nice evenings. Between the great food, welcoming staff, and relaxed vibe, Richardson’s Downtown Sports Bar and Grill has easily earned a spot on my regular rotation.

I work in the area and have heard so much about this place, finally had to try it. I called in my order to eat at the bar. (I have a short lunch) Friendly phone service, and prompt service upon my arrival, warm, good food. Staff was attentive and menu reasonably priced. Will be back.
