The best Korean food I’ve had on the east lower Michigan side and the service was great. New owner since April and the food was so homey, you’d think you were at home eating

The vegetables in my ramen tasted old and the noodles tasted like they came from dry, packaged ramen you can buy at the grocery store.

The absolute best food I have had in Ann Arbor! I do not eat meat, and that can affect the quality of meals, but the vegetarian options are heavenly!

Was planning on going to Kang’s but it was already closed for the day. We’re not mad tho cause we found this perfect place instead! This is a nice and clean little shop with a homey atmosphere. We were helped by the most attentive waitress, who made sure we were well served even though she seems very busy. We ordered a rich gal bi and a kimchi jigae soup, both were so authentic and comforting, not to mention the refillable ban chan that were also very delicious! Highly recommend this place, we will definitely come back again in the future. Thank you so much for having us!

Best Korean cuisine in AA for over 20 years. New owners (5/23) are doing an excellent job with your old favorite recipes! Spicy pork is 10/10 awesome.

Ann Arbor restaurant serving delicious Korean food, but run by absolutely filthy lowlifes that give absolute zero f’s about law and ethics. DO NOT TIP if you eat here because tips do not go to workers (they are paid a “higher than average” flat-rate hourly wage of $18 in exchange of having their tips ROBBED). Of course, payments to workers come in the form of cash checks to avoid taxes. Owner lady regularly belittles workers in front of customers dining, touches them harshly, sometimes scratches them so hard that they bleed, makes workers cough up 10% of the value of every paper receipt they lose/have them dig through food waste to find the receipt (all because the owner simply refuses to change the outdated 1990s credit card machine into a newer one that digitally records transactions), forces workers to pray before free meals, acts incredibly snarky when workers fail to show up at least ten minutes early to shifts, all under the name of “Rich JESUS CHRIST.” Talked to multiple Korean American girls lured in due to the higher hourly wage compared to other Ann Arbor restaurants, but left absolutely traumatized and distraught after having all or most of their worker’s’ rights trampled on. Dear Rich JC’s owners, you are a disgrace to Christianity and the symbol of everything wrong with the church. With all due respect, go to hell. Prices here are also a scam— what costs maybe $7-9 in South Korea costs $15-21 here, not including tips. For those of you interested in Korean food just as good, go to Kang’s that is more spacious and around a minute walk away.

The food is great and it’s becoming a very popular local restaurant establishment. You’ll find a small seating area for inside dining which is mainly set up with the bar stool design. You’ll get plenty of hot mouth watering dishes here. The noodles are incredibly tasteful, simply phenomenal.
