Definitely another small town diner worth trying so if you’re ever in Rich Hill and decide swopes isn’t your stop for the trip here is a great alternative. They have specials that are ginormous and the regular menu is also quite filling and delicious you can’t beat the prices and the tea is fantastic.

This is a great little diner. Stopped in for breakfast while waiting on the ice to melt a little before hunting at Four Rivers. Hours need updating in google to match what they have on Facebook and posted at the diner. But other than that it was a great breakfast.

Nice little spot—old time diner open for breakfast and lunch with a simple friendly atmosphere, popular with the locals. Don’t let the exterior scare you off. It’s definitely worth a stop, not far off I49z

Food is amazing, especially recommend the chicken steak dinner. KM Roofing needed a good meal while roofing a local home. Best meal in a long time!!

If you are making a trip between Kansas City and Joplin, grabbing a bite to eat halfway (almost exactly halfway!) doesn’t get much better than Rich Hill Cafe.
Our small group stopped in for Sunday lunch and had a great homey meal of fried chicken. While the menu had basically all the options you could want from a place like this, there was a Sunday special with plenty of options to customize I couldn’t refuse. It came out quick with amazing service. The chicken was good, even though I would’ve liked a little more, and the mashed potatoes and gravy were very tasty. I finished my plate with ease.
Overall, I’d say it was definitely worth what we paid for it, and will go again if I had the opportunity.

I have lived in Rich Hill my whole life, this is one of my favorite restaurant to go to especially for breakfast. I personally recommend their biscuits and gravy or hash browns.

Don’t be put off by the building. The food is good but better be hungry because portions are huge. Omelets very nice with fresh veggies. Platter size pancakes.just good country cooking and Patty is one of the most cheerful waitresses we’ve ever known. We go for the Amish market and stop here for breakfast. Known for their fried chicken.
