I recently visited Rice thai eatery restaurant and was genuinely impressed. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was stunning, the space is beautifully designed and immaculately clean, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment. The service was excellent attentive, friendly, and professional without being overbearing. The staff really made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish we tried was full of flavor and clearly made with care and quality ingredients. It’s the kind of place where you can taste the difference.
Overall, a fantastic dining experience. I’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food in a beautiful setting with top-notch service.

We drove by this place on New Year’s Day and decided to stop and try it out. It was super busy but we got seated pretty fast however waiting for service and food was a bit long but again we did not mind since it was a laid back day and the place was busy. Menu looked very nice with good quality photos of the dishes but it wasn’t clear which photo corresponded to which dish. Also some items were either not offered anymore or sold out and others coming soon (especially the deserts).
We had chicken larb salad but the chicken was dry and some flavor was missing. The main dish that is featured by the restaurant, Khao soi, looked different than the photo in the menu- but it was tasty.
One generic comment we have for all Thai restaurants is why they don’t offer coconut milk in their Thai tea or coffee drinks- not only would it make the drinks more authentic but they would provide a lactose free option!

Rice Thai Noodle offers authentic flavors and comforting dishes that really stand out. The Khao Soi is a highlight — rich, fragrant, and beautifully layered with spices. It’s a bit on the salty side, but still very enjoyable and full of depth. The coconut milk chicken soup is also excellent — creamy, well-balanced, and satisfying without being too heavy.
Overall, the restaurant delivers a flavorful and genuine Thai dining experience that’s worth revisiting, especially if you enjoy bold, traditional flavors.

This might be the best restaurant in South Lake Tahoe. It’s definitely one of the best Thai spots I’ve ever been to. The Tom Kha soup was phenomenal, the spring rolls were crispy and piping hot, and the Pad Thai was some of the best I’ve had. Service was also excellent. Highly recommend you come here if you’re looking for incredible Thai food.

I have been a customer of this restaurant for many years under the previous ownership and always appreciated the excellent service and overall experience. Even when the wait time was long, it felt worthwhile because of the quality of the food and attentive service.
With the new ownership, I was genuinely excited to return and experience the restaurant again. I arrived at 7:50 PM, well before the posted closing time of 9:30 PM. I was dining alone and ordered three simple dishes along with one glass of white wine. The food itself was good and met my expectations.
Unfortunately, the service did not reflect the same standard. After approximately 20–30 minutes, no one checked on my table. My water glass and wine glass were empty, and despite several servers walking by, no assistance or refills were offered.
Later, the owner approached my table and asked if everything was okay? After I went to the front desk restaurant receptionist. I answered honestly and shared my concern regarding the service. While the owner mentioned that the restaurant was busy, I was surprised to be told that I should consider dining at a faster-service restaurant, such as Panda Express to avoid the table restaurant services.
I found this response disappointing, especially since the feedback was given only after being asked directly. As a long-time customer who wanted to support the restaurant under new ownership, this interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I believe the restaurant has strong potential, particularly with the quality of its food, but the level of service and customer communication needs improvement.

Jesus, where can I start with this place? I would never advise anyone to ever go to this restaurant. The service is by far the worst I’ve ever experienced in my whole life. The whole evening was a disaster. We got in there at 9 o’clock. They supposedly close at 9:15 or 930. They wouldn’t even service when we first walked in, but then they finally did replaced several orders which half they said no to that they were out of then when we finally got our orders. One was ice cold like it just came out of the freezer and when we asked if we could have another one, she brought the mail back and put it in the microwave and brought it back out to us. Saying that she made us a new order when we told her we did not want the order and that we weren’t going to eat it. They still said we had to pay for it. I’ve never crumb across any restaurant like that in my life then it escalated to the police being called because they were forcing us to pay for it. If you see in all the other reviews that this has happened to numerous people, I would highly recommend to never eat at this restaurant how it stays in business I do not know the lady that was claiming to be the owner. Looks nothing like the lady in the picture so I’m not really sure who the owner is, but I would highly address the situation with caution. I also posted pictures so you can see how their meals don’t even match up with what they put as their pictures.

Coming from the Bayarea, we are exposed to countless great Thai restaurants. Rice Thai Eatery blew me away. Food tasted great and authentic (I’ve had food in Thailand as well) the ambiance and service was exemplary. The beef mixed with their hotpot was VERY VERY tender. If you like it spicy, ask for fresh Thai peppers on the side. It will kick it up to a whole new level.

Came here on a Friday night and the staff is super friendly. Being in Lake Tahoe and trying many Thai Cuisine backs home I was surprise by the quality of the food. Must try!
