So I decided to try a new spot and unfortunately I didn’t read the reviews 1st. I spent $40 and u can see what I got in yhe images. I ordered the pepper steak and fried rice. I wanted to try the pineapple fried rice. The lady said it was $2 dollars more, I said np. Sadly they just threw some can pinapples in bland fried rice. Also the steak had a weird texture very soft not like steak at all. Next order was chicken and broccoli with white rice. Rice was good. Chicken also had odd texture. Finally shrimp lomein, not bad pretty basic nothing special. The 2 stores is for the fried chicken it was pretty good. So in short I won’t order from the again. They can do better.

So i like to completely say not one thing nice about this place. The guy at the counter was rude and disrespectful i asked for extra soy sauce multiple times and he continued to hand me one at a time, even after i offered to pay extra for more sauce. On top of that this bug came out of my rice. Completely gross and unsanitary. Don’t give these people your business 1 they don’t deserve it and 2 the staff is disrespectful

I haven’t ordered anything from Rice Shop in approximately 10 years after having moved away but recently I remembered how much that I had always enjoyed their food therefore I decided to give them a call on New Year’s Eve because my loved ones and I were absolutely craving some good quality Chinese takeout food in order to commemorate the occasion and to be quite honest everything (aka the Scallion Pancakes, Crispy Honey Chicken, Eggrolls, Orange Chicken, Shrimp Egg Fu Yuang, Beef Fried Rice, Chicken With Pineapple Fried Rice and Wonton Egg Drop Soup) was just as hot, fresh and delicious as I had remembered it being back in the day when I used to live over at good ol’ 409 River Renaissance in East Rutherford and would regularly order from here once a week and apparently now I am going to have to start ordering food from here again much more often. Always good, the food is very tasty, & consistently so. We’ve been going here for years, since they opened, & have not found fault with it. Also, they are very fast, & they make things to order if you need. One of our sons has a food allergy, and they’ve always been good with that. It’s not the kind of chinese rest. where everything tastes the same. I’ve had numerous of their entrees, & all are unique. Reliable. Our whole family enjoys it, its one of our special “treats”. Highly recommended. And very nice & polite people too.

Rice shop is very convenient on time and the was delivery guy was. The food was hot and fresh. My only flaws with restaurant is the girls who’s answering the phone. Very rude and rush you off the line. We’re paying customers we deserve better customers service.. I wish could’ve rated higher the girls ruin it..hope the staff gets training soon.

Usually I order food from here and its good but today I ordered general tsos chicken for delivery. The chicken smelled funny and when I took a bite it tasted like fish. I don’t know if they used old chicken or spoiled but I couldn’t eat it or else I would’ve probably gotten sick.

Hands down some of the best Chinese food in the area. Been going there since they opened about 13 years ago. They have the best General Tsos…. their Pork Fried Rice umm you can’t beat it… Basil Double Delight is also very good. I never had anything I did not like here – 5 Stars across the board!

Food was much better in the past, last time I ordered delivery, waited an hour and half , meat tasted old , I called them to let them know, they asked me to return the food so they could taste it, really? I’ve been going there for years , won’t be going or ordering food anymore, on top of the bad experience, they were rude about it
