The food here is amazing! I got their Chicken Ramen(level 5) and it was delicious! I also added a couple of their famous Xing Xing egg rolls! Yum! I think I could just have a full meal with just egg rolls! The restaurant floors were sticky, the tables weren’t very clean and I wish they had a fountain machine to get drinks. The food quality surpassed everything else, so I’m giving it a 5!

I really hate to leave a bad review, but man this was one of the worst dining experience I’ve had in years. Interior was extremely dirty in the dining room, so I can only imagine what the kitchen looked liked. I ordered pork ramen which is served more like a lo mein dish. I was disappointed to not have a bowl of hot ramen broth. Noodles were ok but overcooked. Pork was dry and flavorless. Crab rangoons tasted bizarre with a a very strong sour cream flavor.

I forgot to leave a review but this is our favorite Asian cuisine in Wichita. Quality is phenomenal. Food is delicious. Somehow even sitting in unvented Styrofoam containers whatever is crispy will still be crispy..they are performing culinary magic inside this little place..please try it you won’t be sorry. This time I got garlic sweet chili wings and they are so good. Egg rolls are a must, we get the regular and chicken and cheese. Everything fried is fried in clean oil. Never had it any other way from them. This was our first time going inside, they have this really cool wall art also. Love this place thank you for another great experience.

Food tasted decent.
Everything else seems to need work. Service was a guy that just stood there, doing the bare minimum of interaction. No greeting, no pointing out where the menu was until we found it, which by the way is 3 peices of paper on the counter that is a mix of printed text and handwriting. Also he did not help on the level of spice, I asked that I didnt want it painfully spicy, and he just replies with “level 1 though 7 spicy” without any explaination or reference point to how any of that is spicy, I chose level 3 and it was pretty spicy but bearable.
Also whats up with the door to the place, it literally gets stuck in the cement when its barely opened like 2 feet ajar. Like how do people even get in/out the door, kind of a terrible first impression.
Also name is confusing, why is there 3 different names for this place that are different online. Either rice & roll, or xing-xing online, but in person the store is called Bao Xing, that is so confusing.
Price was more on the high end for meals that dont include a drink.

A local favorite from the Wichita Food & Booze. In my tasting, it was middle of the pack Chinese food restaurant. The pork char siu was very dry and did not have any flavor. The signature chili wonton was decent had a bit of bitter taste at the end. The eggroll and crab cheese wontons, (grew up calling these will stick to this) were pretty good cant go wrong with the choice. Overall, was expecting the hype but fell short. If your looking for a decent chinese food that will help with the hangover or want more bang for your buck this is the place in the area!

Enough of this place. The food is fine, but the service is absolutely awful. Placed an order 20 hours ahead of a party, told 24 minutes before pickup that they’re rejecting the order because they’re “too busy.” Last year, I had to wait 2.5 hours past the guarantee time for my order, with assurances that it would be ready in 20 minutes, every 20 minutes.

Full stop here folks, the food is hard to beat. Their take on crab Rangoon is more savory but when paired with their sauce a kiss of perfection. Egg rolls are not overstuffed cabbage logs like everywhere else and the fried rice was a major hit. Portions were adequate and generous and service was impressive. I’ll be back, I’ll be back, I’ll be back!

2 of the 3 times we’ve ordered here the order has been wrong. Last time we ordered 2 of something and only received one. Decided to give another try. Tonight I called telling them they missed our Crab Rangoons for the half and half order and extra sauces that we paid for. So they told me to come back. I came back and they gave me Crab Rangoons that were sitting out and cold/hard.

The food is 5 stars. Delicious and fresh.
The egg rolls are small but perfectly crispy. The general’s chicken was spicy and crispy. The portions were large and very filling.
The restaurant itself is really small and I would give 4 stars for cleanliness. The floors and chairs were sticky and greasy. I think a deep clean with degreaser would help out a lot.
Overall I really enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. Highly recommend.
