Rice & Noodles Thai Food is one of those low-key neighborhood spots that surprises you in a good way. The space is simple and casual, but the flavors are bold and authentic. I tried the pad thai and it had that perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and savory, with well-cooked noodles and a generous portion size. The green curry was rich and creamy with just the right level of spice, and the tom yum soup had a bright, citrusy kick that really woke up my taste buds. Went for lunch with my daughters on Monday 5/12/25. We are very picky about our Thai food. The food here was absolutely delicious! Great service and very friendly staff. The restaurant dining area and washrooms were very clean. Great music playing in the background. We met the owner, Patricio, who has been a Thai Chef for over 28 years!

This new gem opened a few days ago and is a great addition to the neighborhood! We stopped in for lunch today and tried the Prawn Rolls (fried shrimp rolls with bacon) as well as the Chicken Coconut Curry and the Grilled Eggplant dishes. The flavor of each dish was amazing! We loved the chill ambiance as much as we loved the food. We will be back again and again – the menu is huge and we have to try it all! Check them out, you’ll be happy!

My wife and I have made this restaurant a frequent stop over the past several months. We have tried many of the dishes and have not been disappointed by a single one. The food quality is amazing, and we’re happy to support a local small business. Highly recommend the lunch special option for a great value. Our favorites are Drunken Noodles, Pad See Ew, Garlic Fried Rice, Pad Thai, Tom Yum Soup, Crab Rangoon, and Tiger Cry Steak.

I love thai food and have been to many different places. This Thai restaurant has to be by far one of the best restaurants and food I had ever had. The customer service was phenomenal; the main server was highly attentive and polite. I loved their pad thai; literally tasted perfect compared to other pad thai dishes from other restaurants. My friend and I ordered their pork pot stickers as well, and they were absolutely divine. The dough was almost sweet and it paired well with the sauce and pork given in the dish. Do not even get me started on the chicken satay. The marinade and peanut sauce for this appetizer exceeded my expectations. Super juicy and flavorful. Overall the food plus the atmosphere was amazing; if I could I would give this place more stars. Thank you Rice and Noodles Thai Food!

This is what Chicago dining is all about. I’ve had hundreds if not thousands of crab Rangoons in my life and I’ve lived on every coast of the states in major cities, theirs are simply perfect. The generous filling ratio, and the crisp light almost flakiness of the wonton are insane. Their panang curry was fantastic as well, my friend I went with was jealous I ordered better haha. An unassuming exterior and interior to have been met with what is truly the best Thai food I’ve had in Chicago so far, years into living here. Rice & noodles on montrose is no joke! I almost didn’t go in because but walked in. I was welcomed right away. I ordered the chicken broccoli lunch special and the Tom Kha soup. The chicken broccoli was one of the best I’ve had; broccoli was cooked to perfection with a crunch that I liked, the sauce was simply delicious and thick. Just so damn good! Then, I tried the soup. The first bite was tasteless which was weird because it’s my favorite thai soup so . So I told the owner Patricio who was serving and he said that I needed to stir it. I did and oh my!!! One of the best Tom Khas I’ve had in awhile. Overall, great spot and adding this place to my favorites. Portions are very generous and the service excellent. Go right on in without hesitation and see for yourself…

Refreshed for 2025….this place puts out some tasty take out. Great value in portions. I’m all in for a great neighborhood restaurant. Egg roll was crisp with tasty chicken inside. Pad Kee mow was tasty. Noodles cooked well and good sauce. Panang curry was flavorful with lots of chicken. The beef pad prik is my new go to. Looking forward to coming back….
