If you want me best Fried Rice, never go anywhere else! The rice is flavorful, chocked full of veggies and protein. It’s not swimming in grease and the serving is huge! Ingredients taste fresh ! I recently tried Milan’s in Forest Hill and I was so kicking myself for not ordering from Rice House in Burleson. It would have been worth the extra drive!

I have been on a quest to find the best fried rice and this place comes real close. I have lived in Burleson for 40+ years & just found this place because it is inside a gas station. It is mostly take out but they do have some counter space and 4 tables down by grocery. I would highly recommend the Chrs fried rice Kansas style & regular are Great.

There is good Asian food in Burleson! I am flabbergasted that I haven’t tried this place before. All the other Asian food places in Burleson take a far backseat to Rice House. It’s not even close anymore. Some of their dishes don’t look or taste like what you would normally get when you order that dish, but they pull it off. The Chris Fried Rice should just be the standard for all recipes of fried rice. The regular fried rice is great too, but the Chris version is a step up. The guy I talked to on the phone was friendly as all get out, and helped me with some questions and made good suggestions. You can’t really say anything good about the atmosphere, because it is in a gas station, but at least the gas station is a nice one! The prices are right where they should be considering the economy and the quality of the recipes. The portions were above average, and they reheated great too. Only things I would improve are them getting a real restaurant location, and them putting up a website for an online menu. There are pictures on google, but some times those are not up to date. However, outside of those nitpicks, this place is great. I will be ordering from them only until further notice.
I would like to take this time to also say that Taste of Asia and Asian Cafe are disgusting, overpriced, and should be ashamed of themselves. The opposite of Rice House.

The ONLY reason I rated 2 stars was because I ordered extra spicy on an item and it had some heat to it. It was flavorless heat, but heat nonetheless. In reality, this is a ZERO star establishment. Some of the best food I’ve ever had was in a gas station (R.I.P. Chef Point). This was the complete opposite and day old gas station taquitos would have been better prepared and satisfying. This was very expensive for Chinese food, too. $13.00 for a diner plate without any flavor is insane. I don’t know how this place is still open. Close it and put in a chicken place (or do better).
For specifics… Chicken (Gen T’So, orange, and seasame) was all over cooked, dry, and lacked any flavor. There were no veggies in any of the chicken dishes (no onions, bamboo shoots, broccoli, etc.). Crab rangoon was over fried and lacked any flavor. I mean it’s imitation crab so I dont expect much but my Lord this was bland. The white rice was either undercooked or it waslike they let the steamer go dry, as it was terrible and chewy. Pork fried rice was so dry and burnt that I could not take more than 1 bite of it… that is rare for me.
Do NOT bother with this place. For the record they weren’t busy, so no excuse there.

Ordered, waited for an hour for our food. We paid $42 for 2 Lo-meins and an order of Orange Chicken…The guy gave it to us in a paper sack with grease soaking through it, and the food was a solid 3/10. Greasiest lo-mein I’ve ever had. I feel undoubtedly robbed of my time and money. DO NOT GO HERE‼️

Rice Box Express… doesn’t sound fancy but it’s surprisingly great food! My only real negative remark is that they need a bigger sign or billboard outside… if I hadn’t seen the fresh produce sign for Tiger Farms Market and gone inside I would’ve missed it completely! (Also there’s not really much seating… it’s pretty much take-out only) The workers were very nice and friendly and gladly made suggestions while explaining the menu! I had the Chris Fried Rice (ordered a bit spicy which it was) and it was GREAT! They definitely don’t skimp on the meat… plenty of shrimp, egg, chicken, beef, pork, veggies and perfect rice! The portion size doesn’t seem huge for the price but once you’ve eaten half it’s a lot more than you think! The Sweet and Sour Chicken was also really good! I was a bit dry after because, like a lot of Asian food, it’s pretty salty but so worth it! Definitely recommend you try it out because I doubt there’s a bad deal on the menu… hoping to return soon!

This is my second time coming here, and there will DEFINITELY be a third. Before I even speak on the food, customer service is EVERYTHING. Tony is super laid back, and chill, and makes you feel welcomed. Almost like going over to a relatives house for dinner. The food is BOMB. For those who don’t speak slang, it means it’s SUPER GOOD. I am looking forward to the next visit, they have a customer for life out of me.
