I have never liked noodles. But this place is really good! Well seasoned, nice and spicy, nice portion, and fresh. I drove 15-20 miles to get here!

The fish tasted frozen and not fresh. The rice tasted like someone was smoking cigarettes while cooking. I won’t be returning. Also I would double check the price because they are over charging. Tried to charge me $20 for 3 piece of small frozen fish with rice.

Overpriced, overworked, understaffed, yet they did well despite how busy it was with only a cooks and two customer service people. My food was served within 10 minutes from ordering. They didn’t have water. I had to buy water for 75 cents and buy rice for 85 cents. My Indian dish there was $17. It tasted pretty good, but the egg soup didn’t have any seasoning. She had me get my own bottle of water because they were very understaffed. They were still nice and respectful. They as in the staff that works there. I don’t think the food was worth near $30. I think Indian dishes are just more expensive and I’m glad they have both Indian dishes and Asian dishes at one place. I would recommend this place for a quick, satisfactory meal. I also like that the place is spacious.

Everything was delicious and had a unique mouth feel and texture to them. This is my first experience with Indonesian food and I have to say this place really went above and beyond when it came to food. I see other reviewers commenting that this place is very consistent when it comes to quality and I’m glad because I’m very happy with what I received. Definitely one of my new favorite spots!

This is my go-to when I want comfort food. Whether I eat there or get it to go, the food is always perfect. The hot and sour soup is so good. Just the right amount of heat. It is also great the next day. I love the spicy green beans and no one in Houston does Egg Foo Young as well as they do. I love the lazy susans on the tables. It makes sharing so much easier.

The rice bowl is a family own business. Very quaint, the food is good and plentiful. You can feed a family of 4 for under $50. The lady in front of me had 10 orders in which she only paid $125.00 go try for yourself. Everyone palettes are not the same, but me and my family enjoy it.

I’m about 45 minutes away on the other side of Houston, and every Chinese place I’ve tried here ends up in the trash. Rice Bowl is the only spot that’s consistently fresh and delicious No MSG, no weird taste, no slimy texture, just clean, flavorful food. Fast service and a nice little gem overall. Wish they delivered, because I’d gladly pay for it!

Rice Bowl has been my hidden gem for over 15 years — consistent, delicious, and always piping hot. The chicken tastes like chicken, the beef tastes like beef (if you know, you know ), and there’s no weird MSG or chemical aftertaste. Parking is tight, but totally worth it. Part of me hopes it never gets too popular, because the quality has been perfect just the way it is! The dining area works for both large groups and small gatherings. Parking is sometimes limited since it’s in a small complex, but totally worth it. I really love their food! P.S. They don’t deliver, but I think the Fondren location does — I stick to the Bellaire spot.

Yummy in my tummy! Great food. Was trying to find Indonesian food at Houston. We ordered Beef Rendang, Gado-gado, Pempek. The Beef rendang and Gado-gado was yummy . Pempek average. Overall, great food! Friendly owner. Will be back whenever I will be around Houston.

A hidden gem in plain sight. This is one of the few legitimate Indochinese restaurants in town. I have been coming to this place for a few years and it never disappoints me. Each plate has it’s own authentic taste. The are other wanna be Chinese restaurants that try to pass their food as authentic but the taste and texture is bland and has a generic taste. The prices in here are reasonable. You get more than what you pay for. Not many know this but this place has a second menu. They sell Indonesian food as well. This is one of the few Indonesian restaurants in town. The food is much more superior in taste and quality. Not everyone tries the Indonesian menu due to the fear of trying something new. If you haven’t done so, you need to do just do it. You wont be disappointed. They also have won awards and are one of the 100 best restaurants in Houston.
