Build-Your-Own Authentic Bibimbap in the Heart of DC
Located near the National Mall in downtown Washington, DC, this casual spot specializes in bibimbap and Korean-style noodles. The build-your-own format lets you customize your bowl just the way you like it.
I went with a classic combo ”BIBIMBAP add Bulgogi”. Tender ribeye beef, generous portions of namul and fresh vegetables, sweet-and-spicy gochujang, and the aroma of sesame oil all come together in a well-balanced, satisfying bowl!
If I worked nearby, I’d probably stop in once a week. With so many customization options, it’s easy to keep things interesting every time.

This restaurant is Korean-owned, and ordering is simple, clear, and very convenient. The seating is a bit limited, so there may be a short wait, but it’s definitely worth it. The food has an Asian flavor that tastes amazing—especially for a traveler like me, it really feels like a taste of home. Everything was delicious, and the quality was excellent.

I went on a Saturday during lunchtime and the place was packed. Yet service was quick and the food was all fresh and delicious. I’ve never ordered Bibimbap before but the options made it super easy to end up with a great lunch. Don’t miss out on the iced coffee either!

I really loved this place. The food is delicious and high quality, the staff was fast and friendly, and the prices are fair. Great value for money. I’ll definitely come back!

Very delicious. Simple, in and out, and quite the pleasant experience! We got the bulgogi bowl with kimchi as an add-on.

Stopped here for a quick lunch break. Came in with zero expectations and left with a happy tummy.
Food was solid and fresh for a typical “build your own bowl” spot. I ordered an udon bowl with galbi and some other toppings. They also give complimentary soup with every noodle bowl order.
They can get pretty busy during lunch hours, and seating is limited. So, expect some delays.

The best dish on my trip to DC goes to Rice Bar. Did the spicy chicken with udon noodle. Adding the gochujang and broth completed the dish.

I enjoyed my meal! Pleasantly surprised with the speed of service for how large the crowd was when we arrived. Portion seemed good except they add so many up charges that it is quite expensive in the end. Do not think $10-15 think more like $18-$22 for not a massive meal.
The veggies seemed fresh and the rice was good!
Downsides would be that my bulgogi was primarily fat not meat. And the fried egg on top was cold.
I liked the style and ease of the order cards!

Really tasty. Fast. Big portions. You can build your own bowl or choose a featured recipe. Minimal seating but seats seem to open regularly. You will be sitting next to a stranger during peak times. There is takeout though also. I’d recommend asking for it to-go anyway cause you might not finish the whole thing.

Low key spot for bibimbap! Whoever marinated the bulgogi deserves a gold star. Convenient location right by the National Mall too.
