Ricci offers a truly delightful dining experience in Frederick. The highlight of the evening was the exceptional service, particularly from the manager, who hails from Nepali Italy. His charming and attentive demeanor provided some of the highest levels of customer service I have encountered, and I would absolutely return just for his fabulous hospitality.
The fresh pasta dishes were absolutely delicious and skillfully prepared. The addition of freshly grated Parmesan cheese was a wonderful and authentic touch. I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality and freshness of the seafood, which is a rare find in Frederick.
A fascinating element of the restaurant’s ambiance is the rotating brick oven—it was captivating to watch the food gently circle around the open flame while cooking.
To conclude the meal, the desserts—the Bomba and the Crème Brûlée—were perfect. They were paired with a freshly brewed coffee that was perfectly balanced in both flavor and roast, creating an excellent finish to an already memorable dinner.

Food was good, staff friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was nice. Downside, we had reservations and had to be seated at a smaller table because the party prior wouldn’t leave. Other than that, would be back.

Absolutely disgusting. This was my second visit. The first time I noticed flies but gave them another chance. Big mistake. The place was swarming with flies, even landing on my food. I caught three in one photo, and at the other window I counted 8!! Even after the waiter moved us to another table, there were still flies everywhere. I didn’t even finish my food. Paying over $60 for a lunch with flies is beyond unacceptable. Meal ruined, stomach turned, and I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. Never again.

I recently visited this restaurant with friends for a casual evening, and it exceeded expectations. The food was outstanding—rich in authentic flavors, meticulously prepared, and elegantly presented. The ambiance was refined yet inviting, offering a perfect setting. Service was exemplary, marked by professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality. I would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a high-quality dining experience in a pleasant and well-curated environment.

This was our first time at Ricci, the place is very nicely designed. Very different from other restaurants in our area. Easily accessible for ADA wheelchair for the father in law. Our food was absolutely amazing, super fresh and drinks were fabulous also. Our server Trista was great all around, very attentive to our needs. Service was surprisingly fast. Thank you to the entire restaurant staff. It takes everyone to make this work well

My partner and I had a great valentines dinner here last year so we decided to come back again this valentines. Unfortunately, this visit did not live up to our expectations. The “enclosed” patio was quite cold for me but we made it work, in addition to that my silverware and napkin set were wet and smelled like chemicals. It took asking our server 3 times to get a new one, they seemed overworked unfortunately we felt bad for him. The calamari was really good and our cocktails were excellent! Definitely the best part of the meal.

My entree (ribeye) had the incorrect side dish and my steak was very overcooked. The Gorgonzola sauce made it better, but not great for the price. My partner had a salmon dish which was very flavorful but the potato’s and broccolini came out cold.

Overall we thought the service and quality did not live up to expectations especially on Valentine’s Day. ☹️

So glad we celebrated my birthday and our anniversary at Ricci. Food and cocktails were very tasty, and a “wow” dessert was brought to the table which was a complete surprise to us both. Thanks for making it a great occasion!

Best meal I have had at a restaurant in Frederick and I have lived here 50 years! Just discovered this restaurant for the first time last night as we were looking for someplace new to try for my husband’s birthday. My goodness, what a wonderful discovery! Everything we ordered had delicious flavor. They make the pasta and the pomodo sauce on my dish had that just picked, fresh off the vine, tomato flavor. Servers and staff were attentive, the atmosphere was lovely, and a surprise dessert for my husband’s birthday was delicious! This place is a gem!

Highly recommend! This is the first time I’ve been to a restaurant in Frederick that was actually authentic, fresh and spot on with flavor. I’ve traveled around the world and this is definitely top quality with fresh ingredients. Expensive, but worth the price!

We showed up as a walk-in at 5:30 and the hostess seemed stunned that we were there, since on Friday and Saturday they are normally “crazy busy.” The half-empty restaurant made me doubt this. I understand some of the tables were reserved, but it didn’t seem to get particularly busy for the 90 minutes we were there. The burrata caprese was very good, and my wife enjoyed the cream of crab soup. My chicken parmesan was not good; the cutlets were nice and thin, but were cooked to the point they had the consistency of crackers. The angel hair pasta was overcooked so badly it was like eating mashed potatoes. However my daughter’s spaghetti marinara was cooked much better. We also had a caprese salad which was a pretty standard caprese salad.

One note is you can sit at the bar and watch the pizzas be made. It’s a small prep station where you’re really just watching dough be stretched a little before going into the big wood oven, but it’s cool for kids. It does get hot.

The service was speedy and pleasant beyond the awkward hostess.
