Wonderful food, service and clean family like atmosphere with nice pricing. The homemade bread with creamy garlic butter and a really nice Merlot warmed me up. Wife loved her linguine claims in garlic butter sauce and my chicken parm spaghetti was awesome. The homemade bread made tomato sauce is yummy. Waitress very nice and whole staff pleasant. Desserts were fresh! I’ll be back again and again!

Absolutely awesome! I ordered the #10 sub. Tons of food for an awesome price. I live in Fernandina, which is a a few hours away. In town for work.

I will be bringing my kiddos to Tally because of this place.

The food was good, hot and fresh. My server disappeared. Don’t know where she went and the bald dude with the beard definitely has an attitude problem, and would benefit from learning to talk to people with a professional & courteous manner. He asked if me and my party were on separate checks and his approach was just awful. Bad attitudes sting. Probably won’t return

Super yummy casual place for very reasonably priced classic Italian food. A Tallahassee staple with a long history of reliably good inexpensive carb fixes. Everything is tasty. Don’t miss the bread! And come early or make a reservation because the place fills up fast!

Great food! Everybody enjoyed their meal and the service was good. It took a little while to get the food, but it was worth the wait and well prepared. Be careful about the secret bread.

Take out bake-at-home pizza was AMAZING. Great crust, great sauce, great cheese…even really great mushrooms. Included a baking pan, perfect for me. All my future pizzas will start at Riccardo’s.

If you are in the area this is a must try! Amazing food, ambiance, and the owners are overwhelmingly the nicest, most hospitable people ever. Tell em Dano sent ya! P.S. Make sure to get extra Garlic Butter for their unbelievable bread. Just Wow !

I stopped in with my daughter and shared a meatball sub for lunch. It was delicious! The bread was freshly made, the meatballs were great, and the marinara was some of the best I’ve ever had. If that goes on the pasta, pizza, and other dishes they make… I’m sure it’s great. You could put it on a shoe, and I’d probably even be decent. We took home some fresh made garlic bread as well, also great. Restaurant is a little hidden but definitely worth looking for. The atmosphere seemed like it would make a pretty good choice for a date night spot, but I’ll have to go back to confirm. That will probably be sooner rather than later.

Our meals were great but we waited an hour to get a table and then another hour to get our food. My pesto pasta was delicious and Lincoln our server was attentive but if it were not for the slow service I would have given them 5 stars

Riccardo’s is a hot local Italian restaurant serving up a variety of traditional and modern dishes. Home of the famous “secret bread,” we weren’t sure what to expect. Located in Midtown, Riccardo’s had diners spilling out of the doors waiting to get a table. After a short 15 minute wait, we were seated by friendly staff in a nice booth. The ambiance was odd, we were not sure what the aesthetic of the restaurant was supposed to be.

To start, we had bruschetta and the garlic bread. The bruschetta was plated in a way that the bread was placed and then the toppings were placed on afterwards, resulting in an uneven application of toppings. The garlic bread was lackluster, nothing more than toasted bread with little to no garlic flavor.

For main dishes, we had penne with meatballs, a pepperoni pizza, and a pesto pasta with sundried tomatoes, goat cheese, and grilled chicken. The pastas came with the famous “secret bread” which was far superior to the garlic bread we ordered as an appetizer. Filled with an assortment of herbs, the bread was cooked nicely, had a distinctive yeasty flavor, and had a satisfying crunch. The garlic butter it was served with was the star of the plate! Providing a great addition to the depth of flavor to the bread. The Penne with Meatballs was average. The sauce was sweet and the pasta broke apart easily, which left us with mixed feelings. The meatballs were good. They were very moist and tasted like a typical Italian meatball, well seasoned and tender. The pepperoni pizza was made with the “Secret dough” which paired nicely with the more traditional pizza ingredients. It was the perfect ratio of crust, sauce, and cheese. I was warned by the waiter that the pesto pasta, while it was among the most popular dishes, was served at room temperature. Despite the warning, the dish was pretty warm. The pesto was not too overpowering and had the perfect amount of herb flavor. The sun-dried tomatoes added a nice texture. The goat cheese however, was overpowering at times at next time I will ask for it on the side. The chicken was cooked well and cut nicely.

The prices and the quality were both better than those of comparable Italian restaurants. While the “secret bread” was more of a gimmick to get customers to come in, it was not necessary because the welcoming experience and good food will keep customers coming back again and again.
