Ricardo’s now has expanded to 3 or 4 franchises in various locations in Brownsville. When they located in the downtown area they became very popular because of the central location near offices and county buildings. Hence, the restaurant was always popular and patrons had to sometimes to wait in a queue. Service in all of the restaurants is excellent and the food is always very good. Their home-made chiles are excellent.
Concern: they tend to over salt their food and their soups are always too salty, which is why I subtracted 1 star.

Good place to have breakfast. But when you order over easy eggs, you have to be very specific how you want your eggs. Over easy has no meaning to them. They gave me hard boiled looking eggs, over cooked eggs. I told them how the eggs should be. I didn’t have to order another egg to make it juicy. They should have taken the eggs back and made it right but he was hesitant to take it back.

Foods great but they charge 4% if you use a credit card so take cash and don’t substitute anything. Otherwise, your 6.99 plate will end up 12 dollars or more.

This restaurant has many locations in my hometown brownsville and is soon expanding to close proximities but since it first started food used to be good even if you had to wait but know you wait and your food is cold hard and poor quality it’s funny how people can call themselves chef’s but hardly taste their own food. But if ask me based on my experience today eating here don’t waste your hard earned money it is like buying Gucci from the flea market but at retail prices when it’s not even real

Marisco Plate Special was good. It came with a small cup of caldo de marisco, which was very yummy, full of flavor and satisfying, the plate came with 5 shrimp, a generous fish fillet, yummy house, seasoned potatoes and sweet corn on the cob. The shrimp and fish batter was crispy and golden. Service was fast and the waitresses were kind and attentive.
