I have been several times for lunch or dinner with friends and groups. The food is delicious, cooked from scratch according to genuine Italian recipes so it takes time but it’s definitely worth the wait. The service is attentive and friendly. Relax and enjoy!

Nina the Owner host and chef was incredible. I stopped by early on Saturday with my young child, and she was so accommodating. The service was exceptional and the food, just wow. Freshly baked focaccia and olive oil from her family’s farm in Morocco. So good!

Very nice meal with authentic flavours. I’m always a bit concerned when I see a menu as large as the one La Pizzeria offer, but everything we had was very good. We started with the Caprese salad with some fresh bread and olives. I then went for the seafood pizza, which was delicious although I feel there was a little too much cheese on it. My partner had a chicken tagliatelle dish which she enjoyed but said it could have been better seasoned during cooking. The restaurant itself is small but cosy and nicely laid out. Everything is spotlessly clean and the service is both friendly and attentive. Would recommend

It’s my sons 9th birthday today and I decided to take him to try the best pizza in the area. Called up and spoke to the owner who managed to book us a table last minute for 7pm. We ordered a couple of lemonades and 1X 12 inch meat pizza between me and my son which had sausage, chicken, ham and cheese. The pizza was so fresh, delicious and very lite that we ordered a second one and after that we were stuffed. I supplied a chocolate cake and the owner/chef brought the cake out with candles and sung happy birthday to my son. It was a beautiful moment and was so nice of him to do that. This is the best pizza place I’ve been to plus the friendly staff etc made us feel very welcome. Thank you very much for everything I will be bringing my son and mum back here very soon. I think it’s going to be my son and I new place to go. Don’t hesitate to call to book table now you will wish you booked sooner!!!!

Arrived to empty restaurant. Smell of strong bleach. Ordered wine. They could not find it, even though the bottles were on show all around the restaurant. Ordered two starters and two mains. One main they didn’t have. Ordered something else. Then we were told they only had pizzas. Restaurant was cold and did not Smell of cooking food. How can you not have a pasta dish if they are all cooked in house. I make my own pasta, you can turn it into any dish. How disappointing.

Small intimate venue. Extremely friendly staff. Food was lovely between us we had pizza, seafood pasta, whitebait, mussels, calamari, meatballs, lemon sole. Not one person had a bad thing to say about their meal.

The service was slow in a good way. We waited a while between courses but that gave me great confidence on the freshness and we never felt rushed as we were having a great time.

They also made sure my dairy allergy was catered for, meaning I was able to order something other than steak with confidence as well

We must have taken half the restaurant space for a 60th birthday and they let us stay in there most of the night and served us the cake we brought with us as well.

Would highly recommend all round!

Reviews are deceptive in this case as we have not found that great sicilian restaurant we were expecting.
An Italian restaurant with many British adapted recipes was found instead.

Don’t get me wrong, food was good, but it could have been better.
We trusted our Italian palate and went for some recipes that were closer to our taste, and overall the food was OK, though we had difficulties with digestion.
E.g. my pizza aubergines were not fully cooked, and that was a bit disturbing.

We had also arancini as a starter, okish but without the traditional water drop shape and a bit of strange filling.

A cannolo and a lemon cheesecake completed the lunch, but the latter was deepen in cream and the first made without the right quantity of ricotta Cheese and not following the real recipe, rather than covered with hot chocolate.

That said, we couldn’t find sicilian wines from the area were the owner comes from. Not really good IMHO.
Finally, the cost of water was disproportionate to the rest. A 75ml panna water cost £2.5 each.
