Lovely little food truck parked behind the Vulcan gas station. Tables, chairs, and an awning offer seating for those who wish to eat on sight. The owners are amazingly friendly, and the food was ready almost immediately. We ordered two 2-chicken-skewer meals, and they were fantastic! Pineapple was fresh, and the chicken was grilled perfectly. Their menu on the ground does not always match online, so be ready to be flexible (and call if you’re trying to order ahead).

Small menus are great when their items are really solid, and these are. Both the pork adobo and the chicken skewers are delicious and feature that distinctive Filipino tang. The grill on the “back porch” of the trailer is unique, and you know the kababs are always fresh off the grill.

Probably the only place to get Filipino food in BHM right now. The folks are really friendly and accommodating. The food is awesome and priced really well, serving size is on the bigger size. Their pork adobo is legit! Despite it being a food truck, their spot has a few picnic tables with umbrellas and a big grassy field to sit on if you prefer it that way.

Ricarda’s is absolutely amazing food! It’s a small truck with a small menu, but with huge flavors and fabulous people. This is a staple for us every time we come to Leeds. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

What a GEM! I came across Ricarda’s food truck once while at Home Depot on 280 and just had to find out where they were located to give them a try. I am so glad that I did! Saturday’s are naturally days that I load my gf and my dog in my car to do something random or try something new. Ricarda’s got to be our new thing today. I am already very familiar with Filipino BBQ, but had zero idea there was Filipino BBQ in Bham. We opted to try the pork adobo that came with rice and marinated cucumbers/peppers. The pork was super tender, juicy and flavorful. The rice was perfectly cooked and the marinated cucumbers was that perfect bite of crisp freshness to balance the plate out. We also had an order of the pork dumplings with the spicy sauce. I personally wanted more kick in the sauce, but mannnn were those flavors all there. All of the food had great price points, portions were perfect, and everything was piping hot. Location is easy to find and I love how it just gets you away from the city. Enjoy the picnic tables and fresh air. Above all the owners and service just made the experience that must more enjoyable. They are so sweet and welcoming. I would come just to speak to them, it’s just a plus that their food is bomb too. Can’t wait to go back and try the kabobs!
