Money is too tight to throw it away on food like this. Our experience with two loaded potatoes was disappointing, as both were overcooked and dry. Only the meat topping was edible, and the manager was extremely rude and declined our request for a credit. According to the manager, the potato crust is intended to be hard, but ours was inedible throughout. We spent $30 on food that was not consumable.
Unfortunately, the manager refused to provide a credit for the subpar food. In this economy food is too costly to not receive what we pay for. Never in my life have I been denied a refund for food that looks like reheated garage. Managers name was Beth.
I got 4 meats to try out this time and since this is a BBQ joint, I felt that a review for these items will be appropriate.
I got catfish, ribs, sliced briskets, and sausage. For sides, I took the safe route of seasoned fries and Mac n cheese. Pretty hard to mess those up.
Mac and cheese and fries were good. No complaint.
The 4 meat definitely have varying levels of disappointment and goodness with the worst of the 4 being the dry briskets. I love Texas style BBQ and nothing beats some good brisket, but I’ll tell you now. This place is a disrespect to TX BBQ.
The sausage was okay, but it isn’t terrible, but definitely not the best.
The ribs were okay. A bit dry, but tastes pretty good. Enough flavor to overlook the dryness.
The best of them all was the deep fried catfish. I think these are legit American catfish and not a different variant like many other places. The meat had the distinct black veins running through it and definitely had the taste profile. Good fried fish.
Overall, not the best BBQ, but good quick bite with a convenient online ordering system.
Ordered single meat combo this time and I selected hot links, fries and potato salad. To be very frank, it was just average. I wish the hot links were spicier. They also have increased the prices of all food on the menu. I would recommend other local bbq restaurants instead of chain for real bbq. This is over-rated !!
