Reviews
Rib bro in Newport Beach is a Korean fusion Texas style bbq that is pretty affordable. Their head chef moved here from Texas so you know the flavors are authentic. They smoke their brisket for 13 hours and everything is seasoned so well. My favorite items are the pork ribs, sausage, Mac and cheese, and their corn bread is actually insane.
We got the 3-4 person family sized meal with brisket, pulled pork and pork ribs, Mac and cheese, street corn, and kimchi, AND an order of the chicken wings!
The fries under the chicken wings were a delicious surprise! They’re wide cut, but sliced thin, so they’re both super crispy, and substantially potato-ey.
The brisket was my favorite, followed closely by the pork ribs which are thick and meaty. But everything was enjoyable and quite good.
The owner was so kind and gave us an order of his dirty rice, which comes with a perfect fried egg and brisket and is made with brown rice. He also gave us a little container of a bacon jam to put on the Texas toast to make a little sandwich.
It’s not the cheapest meal, but bbq never is, and the amount and quality are very worth it!
Will definitely be back!
