Took the family at 630 on a Thursday night. I’ll start with the good stuff. Well, all the food. The cornbread is some of the best I’ve had. The green beans and pork-n-beans very tasty. Prices are a little high but the pulled pork sandwich was tender and had good sauce as well. Ribs were a bit tough, but tasty nonetheless . Brisket, as it should be. Good bbq on all. Staff very friendly, and they cared about their food. Our 2 meat had as much meat as the 3 meat, maybe they forgot some. The catfish, fresh and great tasting. 5 star on the food. A recent review, we were told, increased business quite a bit so they told us they were behind. We waited about 45 minutes for our food. Need a tad more help. Also, the inside is pretty run down but I guess I get it, they’ve been there for 5 years and now they are just getting busy. All in all, good experience

We just got to-go tonight and this was our second time getting it. The first time was about a year and a half ago and it wasn’t very memorable. But tonight BLEW US AWAY! We got the 4 meat platter with baked beans, Mac and cheese, and yams plus a piece of corn bread. All the meats were delicious. Brisket, ribs, catfish nuggets all fresh, hot and bbq sauce was so good too! My boyfriend’s favorite was the baked beans and they were the best I’ve ever had! I loveeeeddd everything about this meal! 10/10 and worth the price and the wait! Truly for the amount of food we got for two people was a fair price to me. Thank you for a delicious, enjoyable, fulfilling meal Rib Shack! Yall doing it right

My dad and I had lunch there today for the first time. When walking in, we were greeted by the owners. Both were very friendly and welcoming. While we were waiting for another person in our party to arrive, we told them we were excited to try their food for the first time. Shortly afterwards, they brought us a sampling of their sides for us to try. WOW! Not only was that incredibly nice but the sides were all so good!! Our top favorites were the mac and cheese, baked beans, green beans and yams. Hard to choose the best one. We decided on the lunch special ordering the pulled pork sliders. Great amount of food and so so good. We will definitely tell our friends about this place and be back soon! What a great experience

It’s too expensive for what you get. I got a small portion of brisket and two sides for nearly $20, not including the tip. The brisket was about 3-4oz, I finished it in 8 bites. I ate in the restaurant, but somehow my fries were cold. Our food took a long time to arrive (over 20 minutes) so it must have been sitting somewhere for a bit. There is no ketchup, salt, etc on the tables. The coleslaw was delicious.

Came to Omaha this weekend to spend time with family and celebrate my Uncle Larry’s 80th birthday. He said, “Let’s go to the Rib Shack,” and I’m glad we did.
I had the beef brisket dinner with coleslaw and baked beans—outstanding. My mom had the pulled chicken with candied yams and mac and cheese, and everything we tasted was spot on.
I’m from Minnesota and run a smoker myself, so I know good barbecue when I taste it. This place impressed me. If you’re in Omaha and want great BBQ, check them out.

Has to be some of the best service I’ve ever received at a restaurant. The owners were incredibly engaging and helpful. I got the 3 meat combo with the sausage, brisket, and ribs. All were incredible, but the sausage won the title! Mac and cheese was good, but the yams were next level. Some of the best cornbread I’ve ever had!

TALK ABOUT AMAZING!!!!! We were in Omaha running errands and we were craving GOOD BBQ. Google did NOT disappoint! Led us to this little whole in the wall joint! Husband ordered the 4 meat combo-pulled pork, ribs, rib tips and sausage with 2 sides of mac and cheese and coleslaw. 2 dino ribs. I got the 2 meat combo-cat fish nuggets and brisket with 2 sides of collard greens and fried okra. Along with peach cobler and sweet potatoe pie. Let me tell you what! This was some of THE BEST BBQ we have had in a LOOOOOOONG time. Everything was AMAZING!!! Portions were awesome and definitely filled us up with some to take home for a midnight snack! The servive here was on point! The gentleman that helped us was so kind! We are from Fremont and will 100% be coming down. Oh and to top it off my husband HATES potatoe salad…..not their though. After 13 years together i have NEVER seen him eat potato salad until today. I have a feeling we will be coming back here REAL soon!
