I was excited to find a new Jamaican spot and started with the oxtail, then tried the curry goat—both were pretty good. The food itself is solid.
My only issue is with the service. The lady at the front (possibly the owner) doesn’t come across as welcoming, and I’ve noticed others mention the same. There have been times I called or stopped in and decided not to order because of her attitude—she often seems uninterested or as if helping customers is a bother.
If the customer service matched the quality of the food, this place could be amazing.

This place sucked. I paid $30 for a large oxtail platter and ended up with nothing but rice.
The dish says on their menu “oxtail and butter beans” I saw NO butter beans on my plate and maybe 3 oxtail, which were mainly bone and fat and gristle. All I ended up with was gravy and rice with peas. I wish I would have looked at my food before I left.
I’d never go back.

Important: Please take the time to read. They have gotten bad, up the prices and reduced the food. I mean even the peas and rice is questionable. And, adding frozen mixed vegetables now to the cabbage, that’s not even authentic. I ordered today, peas and rice, damn near no peas, if you have to get that cheap stop serving food. I could count the many peas in the rice. Then, all the dishes I ordered were mostly bone with little meat. The oxtail which is classical known to be no meat. I only ordered in the past from them because they provided a good portion. Today, small and less. The jerk chicken, which I didn’t understand, mostly bone with minimal chicken meat. The same with the brown stew, mostly bone with minimal chicken meat. I was so pissed off, I had to write a review to say stop buying from here. The reason is because this has not been a one time thing. It’s now been the last few times, which tells me they changed their model. They use to be the only place to give good portions in the area. Now, they are basically the only place in the area, because the other two places shut down. I feel like they are taking advantage. When they are now limited the peas in their rice, it’s time to go. The nerve of the restaurant to have high prices, I was utterly applauded. They will no longer get my business, I don’t care how hard times are. All the limited food mostly bones no meat… rice with two peas to ende up to cost more than 70.00 dollar. Trust, I read other reviews that agree. And, I read the service was bad. The sad part, I love to promote black owned businesses, but this one just lost my service. Not ordering here anymore and you shouldn’t either. I do know other places serving better. The problem was tonight I had to do Uber eats.

The oxtail was amazing—perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. The curry was very good, the roti was crispy and delicious, and the Rasta pasta was on point as well. Everything was well prepared and satisfying. I’ll definitely be stopping by again whenever I’m in the area.

I came in this morning for breakfast
I asked what was ready and was told everything. I ordered the Ackee and saltfish with provision. When I got home opened my ordered and it was seasoned ackee with provision. No saltfish!! I paid $20 which is ridiculous for my food and was shortchanged. Not only is the food expensive but they’re not giving you what you paid for. Word of advise, check your order before leaving the restaurant. Have them open it and show you! Had my mind set to eat ackee and SALTFISH. They got me today, never again.

I ordered a large jerk chicken platter and was very disappointed. The rice was flavorless, the chicken was dry, and the “jerk” sauce tasted more like bbq. It also seems like they rarely clean their dining tables since they were very sticky. There’s also no trash can for the guests, which I found odd.

Absolutely awful experience from start to finish. The customer service was shockingly rude, dismissive, impatient, and clearly uninterested in doing their jobs. You feel like an inconvenience the moment you walk in. No greeting, no accountability, and plenty of attitude.
The food didn’t come close to justifying the behavior. Subpar at best: poorly prepared, lacking flavor, and nowhere near worth the price or the wait. If you’re going to treat customers badly, the food at least needs to be exceptional and this was nowhere close.
If their newest location in Middlesex is run the same way, it won’t last long. Restaurants survive on repeat customers, and this place gives you every reason to never come back. Plenty of better options nearby that actually respect the people keeping their doors open.

I didn’t expect to pay a lot for a filet, I thought I was getting a whole fish or a platter filled to the top. It’s becoming expensive! Anyway I like the cabbage it had a nice sweet taste. Nice experience I guess.

“We cook our food in the morning, and it’s been sitting on a steam table all day” at 8pm at night. That’s what the restaurant said when I called to complain about the food quality. This shouldn’t be legal! Call Gordon Ramsey! The plantains were BURNT, not just blackened and crispy like I like it, but solid flat black and hard as a brick. All of the food was COLD, even with a super fast delivery! The jerk chicken, not even spicy *at all.* Absolutely the worst and most disappointing expensive meal I’ve ordered in a long, long time.

The food was the absolute worst. This is the worst Jamaican food restaurant I have ever went to. The nastiest Jamaican food I have ever eaten. Do not waste your money. They keep your receipts and the chicken is dry. The rice is inedible. Their jerk chicken tastes disgusting and the stewed vegetables were undone. On top of that the food stinks.
