My friends and I came in on a very busy Christmas Day rush and we fortunately got Megan for a server. She was quick, diligent, and very kind. The food was great. If you are coming to Taos, stop by Rhoda’s and hopefully you’ll get Megan as your server.

Just okay. Decent portions to fill you up adventuring on the mountain. Tortilla chips and tortillas are mass produced. Guess and chorizo was just queso with a few lumps of queso. Had a decent burger, club sandwich, and stew. Meat in the stew was a bit tough and the bread on the club sandwich was over toasted so that when you bit it hurt the inside of your mouth.

Great place to eat, drink and if sitting outside, watch skiers and snowboarders come down the slopes. Food was really good and atmosphere, inside and out, was perfect. Also friendly staff and service. This was our goto hangout pretty much every day, whether eating or just resting. The swiss bacon burger with fries and beef tacos were excellent. Highly recommend.

Food was good, but the real pleasure was the amazing view and exceptional service by our waitress Megan.

Excellent and knowledgeable server and bartender. Overall wonderful experience and good food. The salsa was the perfect amount of flavor and spice. Indoors is a little dated but charming.

It would be great to leave a good review. It is a great VIEW. But the restaurant service is terrible and the food is barely average.

We waited 10 mins to order. No one greeted us at the door. The food took over 40 minutes to arrive. The child’s burger cost $19 and came out opposite of the order, had to be sent back.
Guacamole tastes good, but for $8 you get about 1.5 tablespoons of guac in a small ketchup tumbler. The waitress said they could not give us a straw because it’s agains their rules. They don’t accept cash, but we asked for the check after the meal. Another snarky response “we don’t take payments at the table- you have to go inside.”
Tacos were very small and tasty, but It appears that they sat for a long time and the taco shells were soaked through – so they fell apart and I had to eat them with a fork.
It would have been nice if they brought the food earlier as waiting 40 plus minutes for food seems odd when there ate only 3 tables – the place is nearly empty. Sadly we had good expectations because the rest of Ski Valley we had great experiences. Avoid this place and save your sanity
Oh…and the horrible music selections blaring over the tables It was like nails on a chalk board.

There is not that much choice of good food at Taos Mountain. While the atmosphere of this restaurant is pleasant, our food was mediocre. We ordered fish and pork tacos and a pork stew. The food was just tasteless. Our guacamole with chips was good. We will not eat there again.

The Vegan Tortilla soup was delicious, but I got less than my husband did of a meaty stew, for $1 less. Neither soup was very hot, either. Service was good, but it took 15 minutes to get our soup.

We had lunch at Rhoda’s before an afternoon of skiing at Taos. The food was very good. I had their Turkey Club sandwich, which was very generously sized, and include a large helping of unusually tasty french fries. The wait staff was friendly and very courteous, and prices were ok for the amount of food. Only down side is that it took a little longer to get the food than I would have liked, but it arrived fresh and hot and the general ambience was hard to beat, sitting in the warm sun at the bottom of Al’s run! The outside dining was in a sheltered spot, with radiant heaters, and was plenty warm enough on a sunny February day.

Chicken fried steak in New Mexico. I asked the waiter what he thought about the chicken fried steak, I told him I was from central Texas, he responded, “We’ve had some Texans tell us the steak was pretty good”. So I went ahead and ordered. Surprisingly the chicken fried steak was really good. But it appears that shortly after that visit the Chicken Fried Steak was discontinued.

To start the meal off I had the Rhodas Salad which was amazing. I’d only had a salad like this once before.. Mixed greens, dried cherries & candied nuts topped with a sweet Asian style vinaigrette.

Staff was friendly, service was good. Food was a bit pricey but that’s to be expected when eating at a ski resort restaurant.

I would definitely eat here again if snowboarding on the mountain. I wasn’t disappointed the first time, in fact I was rather impressed and surprised.
