The Vibe and Breakfast (5/5)
Rhino Market & Deli is a cute, eclectic spot with plenty of charm. It’s great that they offer both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a good choice no matter the weather.
I came specifically for breakfast sandwiches on two separate mornings and was not disappointed. The bacon, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel was a solid, reliable choice. With two strips of bacon, the flavor was good—nothing revolutionary, but a very solid, tasty breakfast option to start the day.
The Lunch Experience (3/5)
Lunch was a mixed bag. My son absolutely loved his Turkey Club, which seemed to be well-prepared and hit the spot.
However, the Roast Beef sandwich I ordered was unfortunately not good. I should note the menu does feature a specific Hot Roast Beef sandwich (with cheddar, onions, and horseradish mayo). It seems I may have been served this hot option, but the meat itself was cooked or prepared way overdone, making the roast beef dry and tough, which was disappointing. The bun was also heavily toasted, adding to the dryness. I was hoping for a cold, nice, juicy, and likely reddish roast beef deli sandwich.

Overall, I had a great experience with breakfast and a disappointing one with the roast beef lunch.
If you visit, I would highly recommend their breakfast sandwiches. For lunch, I’d suggest sticking to reliable cold-cut options like the Turkey Club. If you want a cold roast beef sandwich, be sure to specifically ask if that’s an option, or stick to other choices, as the hot version I received was overcooked and dry.

Good place to get a sandwich. If you come around lunch time expect a decent wait. They have a grand selection of beer, wine, and grab and go snacks.
We tried the veggie sandwich and the bread was lackluster but the flavor of the vegetables inside was great! A more wholesome ciabatta with a crust would bring it next level.

I stopped by Rhino Market and Deli and overall had a good experience—my bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel was excellent, and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming.
That said, I was pretty disappointed with the customer service from one of the cashiers. I ordered a vanilla iced coffee and didn’t care for the taste. I politely asked if I could simply swap it for a regular hot coffee instead. You would’ve thought I asked her to smuggle drugs. There was zero effort or intention to help resolve the issue.
Since it was clear she wasn’t going to assist, I just ordered another coffee and asked her to discard the iced coffee, which I had taken only one sip of. The situation could have been handled easily, but the lack of problem-solving skills and poor customer service was frustrating and unnecessary.
Great food and atmosphere, but customer service consistency clearly needs improvement.

My favorite spot to grab a vegan- friendly sandwich! I usually order the Fresco Veggie on Sourdough. Eclectic vibes. A selection of local beers from NC and other states available. Various packaged food items and Bottled beverages, some also made in NC.

Good food good environment. Only gripe I have now is that one Caucasian lady that occasionally works at the deli counter who needs a really get her attitude checked. I don’t know what her deal is, but every time I come in to order, she’s always got some attitude is generally passive aggressive to most customers.
Today was the worst occurrence where I went up to order my food and asked for two things a sandwich and an English muffin she sarcastically replies back ‘you know that that’s two things right.’ She got real sassy and rude with me for no reason. All I was trying to do was order my food from an establishment I actually quite respect.

Best prices, diverse menu, great service and live music or DJ most nights of the week…I mean who could ask for more?? Well being plant-based, I could ask for vegan food and, bonus, they have so many vegan options for being a deli. Even have one of the best vegan breakfast burritos I’ve ever had and for an unbeatable price!!
