The bakery is always busy but for a good reason. Everything was great and they have specific accommodations for food allergies. Gluten free options are prepared in a dedicated space so there is no cross contamination. The employees are super friendly and helpful.

Generally this place excels at the baked goods, but after our most recent purchase, my wife and are hesitant to return for what you pay for. Our Apple pie was pretty underwhelming and under-baked – I can hear Paul Hollywood in my ear whispering it to me. The crumb was also in massive chunks and the apples weren’t cooked through either. Disappointed.

Don’t pass up this family-owned bakery just because it’s not on a main street. This Old Town Arvada bakery has been baking authentic European goodies for over 60 years so you know it’s great and worth finding. Bought several items here and all were fresh, delicious, and beautifully decorated. Enjoyed their strudels, cupcakes, cookies, and more. You can watch them make their delectable delights right behind the counter too. Staff are patient as you try to decide on what and how many to pick. No more store bought pastries for me when in the Arvada area.

This place has been around a long time and is currently owned by Johnson & Wales alumni! (I am also JWU alum so, this when I found this out, I was extra excited. To my delight, everything from here has been so mouth watering, and we’ve tried a lot of the pastries and cakes they make. Even had a custom cake made for my birthday in 2024 (photo included) that was so so good! The wont steer you wrong here.

I have been going to Rheinlanders for gluten free cake and treats for years and I’ve never been disappointed… until today.
I got a Boston cream and ate it right outside and it was dry and stale.
Got home and grabbed my beloved carrot cake. I couldn’t even eat it. It was so stale and dry, it was literally a brick that I couldn’t get my fork through.
The strawberry shortcake was better and was soft. My husband enjoyed his apple strudel and cinnamon streusel roll thing.
I do hope this was a one off… esp. because it’s such a staple for GF treats.

Dry. Too sweet. Bad flavors. There are much better bakeries out there. This one smells like it’s going to be great. When you walk by, it is enticing. I have fallen for it probably 6 times now. I’ve tried many different varieties of baked goods. I’ve even purchased an entire cake. Sad to say this place is not it unless you enjoy dry overly sugary blech

My first time coming here. This place is amazing and does not disappoint. They specialize in sweet bakery products. I had the Jalapeño turtle and the regular,( the Carmel is silky and buttery). Cherry strudel,( man oh man you have to get it and taste it) cherish every bite….the blueberry lemon strudel. This place is premium you don’t have to buy everything, but there is alot to choose from, so we tried several and all of them we amazing. About 6$ per item and well worth it. They are meant to enjoy and not shovel in your mouth. You will want to, but I promise you will miss out. I am dead serious, you can taste the layers of flavor.
Let’s just say I will be back

Merry Christmas, Rheinlander family! We’re enjoying the Almond Kringle—it’s absolutely heavenly. It pairs perfectly with my coffee and eggnog.

First time ordering from this bakery, I chose this place because they offered gluten free options in a King Cake. This shop is located in Old Town Arvada nestled among a few quaint shops and coffee houses. The bakery has a few nice touches and and endless array of baked goodies from gluten free and dairy free among others. The gluten free King Cake was so moist and flavorful, copious amounts of cinnamon to really give it that King Cake feel and taste. I will definitely return to sample other goodies.
