Rhea’s has been on my radar since I moved to this area 10 years ago. I took my son’s here before we went out to look at Christmas lights around the area. I came in with high expectations. At 1st glance as I pulled up I was not impressed. The outside was very drab. Not to judge a book by it’s cover we still went in highly anticipating the “Best Burger in Roswell.” I order the cheese burger for 1 of my boys and a hot dog with cheese for the other. I grabbed the classic hamburger with bacon (added) and an order of fries.
The fries were disappointing. Fresh, but overall tasteless. Not even a double dose of salt cld help to revive the flavor. The hot dog was really good (according to my son). As far as the main event…THE BURGER…it was OUTSTANDING! 5* on the burger. Every bite was better than the last.
We came, we ate and we were very impressed with the burger. As far everything else…no thanks. The atmosphere was bland, just like the fries. Service without personality. $37 (tip included) for 2 burgers, a cheese dog and a side fry (no drinks) seems like a bit much.
Overall…I wld stop…grab a delicious $9 burger and move on. If i do come thru again i will give the patty melt a try. But tbh, probably not.

I’ve lived in Georgia since 1999 and went to Roswell High, so I’ve known Rhea’s since the early days. The original Rhea’s near downtown Roswell was the burger spot back in the day, then the second location opened near the high school, and now Rhea’s II off Highway 9 is the one that’s stood the test of time. The other two may be gone, but this one’s still going strong — and I’m so glad it is.
My buddy @Motovlogic told me they’ve got the best BLT, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting to be blown away by something so simple. But wow… this BLT is perfection. The brioche bread is perfectly toasted with butter, giving it just the right crisp without being hard. The bacon is flavorful and perfectly cooked, the lettuce set up is perfect and not watery, the tomatoes are just the right thickness, and the mayo ties it all together beautifully. It’s simple, but the balance and flavor are unmatched.
They also make excellent burgers, patty melts, and fries… exactly what you want from a classic local diner. Pair any of it with an ice cold Coca-Cola Zero and you’ve got yourself the perfect meal.
The staff is always friendly and consistent, and that consistency is part of what’s made them a Roswell staple all these years. If you’re anywhere near Roswell or Alpharetta, do yourself a favor and stop by Rhea’s II and help support our local businesses!! You won’t regret it.

Rhea’s is a local legend! Sadly this is last remaining location…but if you want one of the best burgers in Georgia you’ll need to head here and get a Jimmy Rhea’s special. Just like it comes. Don’t take anything off or add anything unless it’s a to make it a double. These burgers are served on warm buttered Texas toast. This is where the locals in the know come. Excellent burgers. Excellent fries. Excellent cokes. Excellent service. Excellent price. This isn’t a fine dining establishment, it’s a burger place, so act accordingly.

I’m vegetarian, so I had the grill cheese and onion rings, but my group enjoyed the Rheas Special which is a smash burger. The bread is toasted so golden with butter and the fries and onion rings were large cuts.

It’s been years since I ate at Rhea’s and this appears to be the last one. It’s a solid burger joint with freshly cooked food that tastes exactly like you want it to. The fries and onion rings were crisp. The burgers were a little greasy but still very good. The place is definitely starting to show its age but still a solid pick.

EDIT: Went back and had the #1 (double cheese on Texas toast) and was blown away! Amazing and delicious!
Very good burger! Had the #2 with bacon. Next time I’ll try the #1 for sure but yeah this was a really good burger. Fast, friendly service. Was packed with locals. Crinkle fries were hot and fresh out of the fryer.

Went here because I was craving a good burger and after looking at reviews decided to stop by. Sadly I was disappointed. The burger was very messy and the fries were flavorless. You can tell the burgers and fries come frozen. The lady at the cashier had no personality either and the atmosphere was very old looking. $17 down the drain would not recommend.

The Rhea’s special (get double meat) is the best burger anywhere. The Texas toast is buttery crispy deliciousness and the meat is pure yum. Their Cokes with the tiny ice nuggets are amazing too. We also enjoy the dogs and the grilled cheese when we come as a family.
