A gorgeous restaurant perched on the top floor of Restoration Hardware at Fashion Island, RH Ocean Grill offers sweeping ocean views in a bright, airy setting that feels both elevated and relaxed.

The menu leans toward classic American fare with a strong seafood focus. Standouts include the lobster roll and the burger — both well-executed and satisfying. The food pairs nicely with the refined yet coastal atmosphere.

Prices are on the higher end, and reservations are strongly recommended given its popularity (especially for lunch). It’s a perfect spot for people-watching and enjoying a memorable meal with a view.

Amazing dining experience. Beautiful restaurant and showroom. The GM Lauren truly cares about your dining experience, and it shows. Comfortable seating, outdoor patio is of the hook. Wagu steak, seafood tower, oysters, are very fresh and amazingly delicious. Drinks are strong. Old fashion ice cubes with “RH” initials are a very nice touch. You can’t dive there without trying the banana split and/or butterscotch creme brulee. Browse the showroom after dinner to witness the most luxurious in Newport Beach living. Unique art pared with amazing furniture. Marble bathtub is for sure my favorite. Superbly superior dining at Fashion Island!

If you’re wanting to come here for special occasions this is definitely a place to go!
It was my husbands and I 6 year anniversary on January 1st and wanted to try some place new and we were both very pleased with service, and food.
They were very attentive, and the scenery before getting inside is stunning. We took a lot of great photos! the only thing is if you want to do that I would definitely come early because later at night they close off the stairs and being able to roam around the inside. Overall it was definitely a 10/10 experience.
And to the waiter, thank you!

We had brunch last Sunday for a party of 6. They got the full lunch menu available. Thank God we had reservation because it was beginning to get full in the main dining and slowly filling up the patio sitting, too. We’ve ordered, Asian Salad, Wagyu steak sliced thinly, Seafood Tower, Lamb Chop, Lobster Rolls, a Burger, and couple of freshly made juices.

IAll the food was amazingly good. Very sumptuous. The steak was grilled to perfection (medium rare). We enjoyed the seafood tower that much. I’m not a big fan of lobsters and crab legs. But, Gee! This was the bomb! It was a little pricey but it’s all worth it!

Service might b a little slower because there were so many guests but we were just chilling while we wait so no problem with us.

I’ll definitely recommend

A beautiful, bougie setting paired with extremely poor service and disappointing food. The only enjoyable part of our experience was the bottle of La Chapelle Du Berry.

We had a 5:15 reservation but were not seated until 5:30. After ordering, our food didn’t arrive until 6:36 – and everything came out at once, including the bread. One person in our party’s order was completely forgotten, and when it was brought up, our server appeared visibly annoyed and even rolled their eyes, whether toward the kitchen or our table – either way, completely unacceptable. Why mention our discontent when the service was already so beyond poor?

I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, which tasted previously frozen and was drenched in butter and oil. The mashed potatoes were cold. To make matters worse, I became ill after the meal. Everyone else at the table that ordered entrees mentioned how undesirably salty the meat was, chicken and ribeye specifically.

The only reason I would consider returning would be for a glass of wine – since they don’t make that. If you’re looking for great ambiance and a nice view but are okay with poor service and subpar food, this may be the place. Otherwise, they should stick to furniture, not fine dining.

I’m giving two stars only because of the atmosphere. The food was good. The portions were extremely small and way way way overpriced. Look at the pictures of the food and the picture of the receipt you judge for yourself. $24 hamburger. We split salad salads, but we feel like the portion was smaller than if we would’ve just ordered a whole salad. $20 truffle french fries. The broccoli we ordered was $14 and there was literally eight pieces. My beef dip sandwich came out warm. The broccoli came out warm. The burgers were very small, maybe be slightly larger than an In-N-Out Burger. And $24. Needless to say, I don’t think I will ever come back to eat here. We were definitely excited to try it. The views are amazing. The staff was very friendly, but not totally on point for the prices they charge. The service was slow. Restoration hardware you definitely can charge the money, but at least give the portions and the quality. I’m not worried about spending the money, but I don’t like being ripped off. When you look at the pictures of the salad, imagine two portions of that same small salad would be one main portion we did split. But needless to say for the price of that salad and the portion they give, you is kind of comical. I give the food three out of five, but on flavor, not size. I give the Service three out of five because the service was slow and unorganized. The staff was extremely friendly, so it didn’t have anything to do with the friendly mess of the staff.

Located on the 5th floor of the store this is a gorgeous setting for an afternoon Brunch! We had a booth facing the window, which can get hot so don’t be shy about asking for the sheers to come down.

Sophie was our server and she was attentive without hovering and kind enough to take my minor critique of the breakfast potatoes that were a bit to crispy… the center wasn’t soft so I sent them back + plus I had waited for the ketchup and the potatoes got cold.

My Eggs Benedict were tasty, the hollandaise sauce just perfect. Sweet potato fries were yummy too! The Birthday gal had the Lobster Roll and she wiped her plate clean LOL being from New England I have high expectations for Lobster Rolls and at the cost I would’ve expected some sort of side or edible garnish… alas, there wasn’t any.

Butterscotch Creme Brule’ was a delightful ending to end our day.
BTW I heard the Cappuccino was perfection too!

There is valet parking directly in front of the store and limited garage parking down by the Nordstrom entrance. I am such a fan of individual restrooms that look like a little room with your own personal door entering each ‘stall’.

Respectfully Reviewed.

The view and the chandelier. What a beautiful lovely place. Service was great and couldn’t complain. Food was little above ok. Salad was good. Lamb chops was tasty but over cooked as I had wanted med. The fish, Zambinos was delicious but too small. The prosciutto and cheese was delicious as well. The high light actually was the bread; it was perfect.

RH Ocean Grill in Newport Beach is polished, inviting, and absolutely worth the visit. From the Gallery entrance to the breathtaking view overlooking Newport Harbour, the ambience alone sets it apart—elegant, open, and effortlessly impressive.

A special shoutout to Hannah L., whose warm and genuinely hospitable welcome set the tone for the evening. Her recommendations were excellent and made ordering easy and confident – she surprised me with a special engagement gesture, which honestly brought tears to my eyes as it was so thoughtful.

Worst fine dining experience (from the perspective of food quality) I’ve had in the past five years. Apps were ok, but the king crab roll I ordered as my entree was hardly edible. Feels like they just stuffed some thawed crab leg meat from Costco into the toast, no taste, no sauce, no soul. Service was great, but I don’t think we’ll come back.
