Alright. I’ve visited every restaurant in Cookeville serving this genre food and I can now say nothing comes close. Every time I branch out, I’m upset I didn’t come here. Salsa? bombastic. Queso? Fye. Food? who is back there cooking this up? I’ve had the tacos, the quesadillas, the classics. you name it, it’s best made here. I will order an orange marg pitcher every single time. they know what they’re doing down at Rey’s. The staff has always been so welcoming and they give great recommendations. My daughter and I had lunch here Friday and it was good. I’ve eaten here before and never have had a bad experience with the service or food. She had the kids beef taco and I had the lunch portion chicken chimichanga, we both enjoyed our meal. I do wish mine came with avocado or guacamole but it was still good. My server was very attentive and nice and there was no wait for a table.

Hands down the best place to eat in Cookeville. They treated my family incredibly well, and the food was absolutely top tier. Even with how busy and packed the restaurant was on Christmas, the staff still acknowledged us right away and let us know they’d be with us shortly. That level of care and professionalism really stood out. Great food, great service, and a place that truly values its customers.

First time here and not only the food but the tremendous wait staff and management will continue to bring us back. Brought a friend from out of town here trusting the reviews. She ordered a simple item from the Ala Cart menu, but it wasn’t as she interpreted from the description. The management immediately jumped on the wagon to make it right. They got her specifics and quickly made her item to her extreme satisfaction. Our server was just as accommodating and super friendly. Highly recommend!

We are regulars! Tasty and fresh. Don’t forget to ask about the hot, spicier green sauce they will bring out special for you. The Chile relleno is best in town. Staff is always congenial. Grandma loves her margarita. Depending on the day and time, you can have a quiet, casual experience or enjoy a livelier interaction with bi go or trivia.

First time eating there. Was honestly the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ate at in a long time. Great atmosphere great service great food. My husband thought it was a little pricey. I told him to wait till he got his food, that it would probably be worth it, and it was you definitely get your money’s worth. I definitely recommend this place. And both waitresses were very nice and bubbly.

I visited Rey’s Mexican grill with my family and we waited 1:30 hour for the food, the food was really bad, frozen and hard tortillas and the order was not complete, and of what. We ordered everything incomplete, we ordered two sauces and they only delivered one, they charged things that were supposed to come with the food included and the bill came out too high for things that they didn’t even give us, it’s really not worth paying so much for something so bad, adding that the tables are too close together and it’s not a nice space, but terrible frozen food, hard and the onion of the tacos was bitter. He doesn’t deserve a star.

The prices for the amount is good you receive was on the high end. My son got steak fajita nachos there was barely any vegetables or cheese. I got just steak nachos, again very little cheese. They were very dry. The steak was very good. We had to eat with our jackets on as it was cold inside.

This is a great little Mexican place with fantastic food! I ordered the authentic tacos with al pastor meat and they were fabulous. Everything we ordered had good flavor and seasoning. The salsa is thick and just a little spicy but not too much. Great, speedy service as well as clean and colorful in the restaurant.
