Had birria taco for the first time. I didn’t know what to expect from the consume but it was not bad. The tacos were fresh and flavorful and the red sauce they added to the side was definitely SPICY. Too spicy for this puerto rican. I also got the horchata. Never had that before either. That was very good as well. For a dessert I got a flan and I never cared for flan but decided to try it just to see if I would like it. It not bad but because I dont care for flan I wasnt a fan but it not their fault but it definitely taste like your typical flan. So I definitely will give this place more chances to try different options.

We decided to use Reyna‘s Taqueria for catering our daughter’s quinceanera. It was the best decision ever! Sam was awesome to work with. He was very upfront with pricing and helped us make the best menu for our event. Sam and the staff delivered the food and set everything up on the buffet for us. The service and food were absolutely exceptional. Our guests were raving about how tasty everything was. If you have an event big or small and want a taco bar, this is the place!!! Thank you guys for helping make our daughter’s big day a success!

Dinner at La Reyna was nothing short of exceptional. My partner ordered the chicken sopes—two generously sized, beautifully composed pieces that were crisp, tender, and layered with perfectly balanced flavors. I went for three beef birria tacos, and they were absolutely scrumptious: rich, deeply seasoned, and clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients.
We started with a large serving of freshly made guacamole, paired with what tasted like homemade chips—warm, crisp, and impossible to stop eating. Everything on the table tasted incredibly fresh and thoughtfully prepared.
To drink, I enjoyed a cold Modelo, while my companion had a distinctive mango brew that was light, refreshing, and delicious.
Quite honestly, this may be the best Mexican food I’ve ever had—whether in the United States or in Mexico. La Reyna is a true standout and an absolute must-visit in Sarasota. ✨

Stopped here after an Orioles spring training game and we were stunned by the exceptional food! Some of the best Mexican fare I’ve ever had. Amazing chicken burrito, tacos, and chips & queso!

Where’s the MEAT! The most skimp and bland burrito I’ve ever had. Missing beans, cheese and FLAVOR. Doesn’t take like Mexican food, the sauce isn’t good and also didn’t taste like real authentic salsa verde. Waste of money.

The horchata was the best. The pastor tacos were very good. The service was excellent and it was very clean and pleasantly colorfully decorated. I would visit again!

I have gotten takeout from here at least three times now and I’m still not impressed and I don’t think the flavors are that great and it’s locking a lot of seasoning. The grouper taco was so underwhelming. The flavor is nonexistent. The shrimp tacos are barely any big shrimp through the micro shrimps, and they barely have any flavor in them. The green salsa that comes with the tacos. Absolutely zero flavor, and the guacamole is also extremely underseasoned and is lacking the lime flavor.
The only good thing I will say is that the taco tortilla is delicious. It has a great true to it and the bean dip is also really good but I would not come here ever again.

We wanted Birria tacos tonight and they offer this on the menu, well it did not taste like Birria at all. The tacos were good but totally lacking the Birria spices that make the flavor. The consume tasted like beef broth. I like their food it is good, but I would not have this again here.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Sarasota!! Completely authentic, the people are extremely nice and give great service, the food is cooked to order and SO good no matter what you choose! Also you can get almost everything in vegetarian form which is a huge plus for me and all other vegetarians and vegans. Also the serving size of all food is huge, more than likely you will have leftovers with most items. You can’t go wrong at Reyna’s. If you haven’t been there, go because you’re missing out!

What an awesome place to eat dinner. The food was amazing and the staff were really helpful and nice. The cashier recommended the Huaraches and most of the family tried it and we all loved it. The tacos were really flavorful. The roasted salsa was to die for and their homemade tortilla chips were thick!! My favorite item of the night was the street corn. It was sooooo goooood!!!!! You must swing by and eat at this local Taqueria. Don’t mess with the big chain restaurants. Come and get some of Reyna’s recipes that will definitely leave you feeling satisfied!!
