I got a lunch combo: rice, a chili relleno with ground beef (the way it’s meant to be), and a chicken enchilada… which also showed up with ground beef, but I am not one to start a custody battle over some poultry.
Be aware that they do not serve alcohol on the premises. I instead opted for the Horchata, which comes in a huge mug for only $4. It was slightly sweet and cinnamonny.
I have never felt sad inside a Mexican restaurant. This is no exception.
When she put a plate of hot food ( mole ranchero ) on the table but she didn’t say anything about the hot plate until I touched it and she just kept quiet. I came here for the second time after the last time because of the delicious food and enthusiastic service staff, but I will not come again. Even so, I still tip 10% instead of 20-25% like last time.
I was in Butler, PA for business and decided to try Rey Azteca Mexican Restaurant based on a recommendation from my hotel. Nestled in a strip mall, I initially wondered about the quality of the food, but I was pleasantly surprised.
The atmosphere exudes authenticity with its Mexican decor, setting the stage for a delightful dining experience. As soon as I sat down, they promptly brought complimentary chips and salsa, a welcoming touch.
Starting with a cup of Mexican-style chicken noodle soup, I was impressed by the abundance of shredded chicken, green onions, and cilantro. It was flavorful and comforting, setting the tone for the rest of the meal.
Opting for the Vegetarian Fajitas, I was greeted with a sizzling platter overloaded with veggies, accompanied by rice, refried beans, guacamole, lettuce, and sour cream. The portion was so generous that I couldn’t finish it all!
Service was swift and attentive throughout the meal, adding to the overall positive experience.
In conclusion, Rey Azteca exceeded my expectations with its delicious food, authentic atmosphere, and attentive service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant, and I look forward to dining here again during my next visit to Butler.
