Honestly an absolute gem!! The food is authentic, good and usually pretty quick at the table. The servers are super nice especially to kids and very helpful and the overall atmosphere is good. We’ve been going here since multiple years and it never disappointed us!

The perfect experience. Shrimp was juicy, toppings fresh, free chips and salsa, quick seating, and an awesome/attentive waiter. The whole experience felt authentic. Can’t wait to come again!

Best Mexican food I’ve had since coming back to visit my parents – finally, something that tastes like the real deal. Knowing their audience, they def cater to the local palate a bit, but it still slaps! The staff was super friendly, and the plates looked great!

I got a lunch combo: rice, a chili relleno with ground beef (the way it’s meant to be), and a chicken enchilada… which also showed up with ground beef, but I am not one to start a custody battle over some poultry.

This use to be my favorite restaurant, we went here weekly for years. Don’t get me wrong. The food and service are great, however I am extremely disappointed in how they raised their prices every few months to the point that is not even affordable for a family to eat here. I can understand price increases, but as many increased as they have had are unacceptable. I’m a business owner too and we have not raised our prices once in over 7 years. Because of that our business thrives! There is a difference between prices going up because of supplies going up, and just pure greed. Unless something changes we won’t be back. If I am going to pay these prices I will go to a fine dining restaurant. Many of our local friends say the same thing. It’s just not affordable anymore.

Food came out quick. I had the Burrito Aztecas with shredded beef. The cheese sauce was excellent, the beef was very well seasoned, and it was a humongous amount of great food for the price. The green sauce is spicy and not for the faint of heart.

Be aware that they do not serve alcohol on the premises. I instead opted for the Horchata, which comes in a huge mug for only $4. It was slightly sweet and cinnamonny.

I have never felt sad inside a Mexican restaurant. This is no exception.

Bad service !
When she put a plate of hot food ( mole ranchero ) on the table but she didn’t say anything about the hot plate until I touched it and she just kept quiet. I came here for the second time after the last time because of the delicious food and enthusiastic service staff, but I will not come again. Even so, I still tip 10% instead of 20-25% like last time.

Authentic Mexican Cuisine Surprise in Butler, PA!

I was in Butler, PA for business and decided to try Rey Azteca Mexican Restaurant based on a recommendation from my hotel. Nestled in a strip mall, I initially wondered about the quality of the food, but I was pleasantly surprised.

The atmosphere exudes authenticity with its Mexican decor, setting the stage for a delightful dining experience. As soon as I sat down, they promptly brought complimentary chips and salsa, a welcoming touch.

Starting with a cup of Mexican-style chicken noodle soup, I was impressed by the abundance of shredded chicken, green onions, and cilantro. It was flavorful and comforting, setting the tone for the rest of the meal.

Opting for the Vegetarian Fajitas, I was greeted with a sizzling platter overloaded with veggies, accompanied by rice, refried beans, guacamole, lettuce, and sour cream. The portion was so generous that I couldn’t finish it all!

Service was swift and attentive throughout the meal, adding to the overall positive experience.

In conclusion, Rey Azteca exceeded my expectations with its delicious food, authentic atmosphere, and attentive service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant, and I look forward to dining here again during my next visit to Butler.

Located in a modest strip mall in Butler, Pennsylvania, Rey Azteca offers an authentic Mexican dining experience. Upon entering, the restaurant greets you with a clean and inviting atmosphere, complete with kitschy Mexican-themed décor.

The food here is delicious. The dishes are served in generous portions, ensuring great value for money. Highlights from the meal included flavorful tacos loaded with fresh ingredients, fluffy Mexican rice, creamy refried beans, and a zesty salsa verde that added the perfect kick. Whether you’re craving classic tacos or comforting sides, Rey Azteca delivers with flavor and authenticity.

The staff was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. For a satisfying, casual Mexican meal in Butler, Rey Azteca is a must-visit spot!

Ray Azteca in Butler is absolutely incomparable. The flavors are so authentic and fresh, it literally tastes like you’re eating in Mexico. Every dish is perfectly seasoned, not too heavy, and prepared with so much attention to detail. The staff is friendly, the service is fast, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I’ve tried many Mexican
restaurants, but nothing comes close to this one. Truly a gem — highly recommend!
