What a cool little joint. The service was great and a cool atmosphere. Highly recommend the Detroit style coneys. They were delicious! My wife got the club sandwich which was HUGE. She really enjoyed it. Not a ton of tables so you might sit with strangers not a big deal. 10/10

We loved Coney Island whith the original owner. Now the prices have been raised with less portions. One of the waitresses were so rude and unprofessional, lied about the options for the combo. Charged an upgrade of 4.00 for fries with the B L T. without notice. My husband was strat forward when asking about the bill but not rude. The Waitress lied while stating that he was giving the notice. I was a fair witness, and he was right. I called the owner and she was extremely rude as well.

Our first time visiting Rex’s Coney Island since the new owner’s took over and it was a delight! Lunch on the Friday before St. Patty’s day offered a delicious Irish Quesadilla – who doesn’t love a good corned beef and swiss?? We also ended up getting a jalapeño popper mac n cheese coney dog that was SO good too! Our server was very friendly as well as everyone in the kitchen!

We tried Rex’s for the first time today. We are originally from the Detroit area and struggle to find good food up here. The coney’s here are just as good if not better than down state. Our waitress was so friendly and the rustic atmosphere with cute Dino’s everywhere was really charming. We will definitely be back.

If I could give 10 stars I would! FANTASTIC customer service! I was questioning the Flint style coney because it’s what I grew up eating. I didn’t order it though because I thought it would be sort of a disappointment. (NO offense to the restaurant)(WAIT FOR THE END before scrolling) I ordered a cheeseburger and chili cheese fries, also a side of fries just to be able to taste their fries alone. It was cooked perfectly how I ordered and tasted better than perfect. (If that’s a thing).
The cherry on top of this whole experience was that they made up a “Flint Style” coney and placed it in my bag for me to try. !!! It made my day! I tried it, ate half and then let my boyfriend taste the other half and it hit so close to home! I will definitely order the Flint style coney in the future and even if it wouldn’t have tasted well, the customer service alone would be enough to get me back there and tell all who needs to hear it! This place is THE BEST place to grab dinner for the family. The prices weren’t bad either. Definitely affordable.
