This place is definitely underrated! Inside the A&D gas station on 4th & Appleway. The burgers and phillys are flavorful seasoned with au jus making it juicy goodness. They have quite the verify from the ruben, hot pastrami, chicken and fish sandwich. Fries, tots, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, and fried mushrooms. Housemade Rex sauce (fry sauce) & tartar for the beer battered cod. A most must try!!

I went in to get fries and the lady putting my fries in the bag wasn’t wearing gloves and reached her hand in the fry bag to open it before putting the fries in. Right before this she was cashiering for the convenience store. I didn’t even ask for my money back, I just walked out. I also saw her putting tator tots in the fryer with her bare hands . Same lady I’ve seen smoking out front and not washing her hands before returning to the counter to cashier.

This was my first visit ever to Rex’s and I should’ve visited sooner!! At first glance at the menu, I was greeted with decent prices and a variety of cheese steaks, burgers and classic American sides. I chose the cheesesteak that bears the restaurant’s name hoping to understand Rex’s gastronomical philosophy. Rex’s cheese steak was incredible! The quality and the portions, just superb. The bacon, peppers, cheese and beef were all correctly proportionate and resulted in a synergy of comfort food flavors! The jalapeño poppers were big, filled with cheese and fried to perfection. The sample of clam chowder I tried also warrants another trip! Rex’s is indeed a gem like others have commented. The staff working behind the counter were friendly, helpful and seemly reflect confidence in their food. And they’ve earned it! Rex’s is now on my list of places I’ll be returning to regularly.

Stopped here as a break while riding the bus, got a bacon burger and tots not expecting much, but DAMN the caramelized onions were amazing. One of the best burgers I’ve had in a while and the tots were crispy with good seasoning. The fact this place is inside of a gas station, is a testament to don’t judge a book by its cover

The best and biggest breakfast burrito in CDA for the money! I was not expecting much initially from this gas station diner but it was very good! I have also had the vegetarian burger which was excellent! They have several vegetarian options on the menu. They do have a drive through option if you are short on time. Inside they have a small seating area beside the kitchen. Differently give this place a try if you haven’t.

I ordered lunch for myself through Door Dash and went to pick it up through the drive thru. BIG MISTAKE. By the reaction of the gals inside, I might as well have killed their puppy. They assumed I was a driver for Door Dash and apparently I was supposed to go inside to get it. I honestly didn’t know, but they made it super uncomfortable. All I could do was apologize. Maybe put a sign on your window instead of treating customers like that. Super weird interaction to say the least.

Important: If you are on the Greyhound you will have a separate menu to order from so you can get your food before the bus leaves again.
Huge portions of meat in both their French Dip and Reuben. Both were also delicious. Fairly big sides of French fries as well. And for what you pay and what you get in the burgers they are also very good. Real and decently thick bacon on the Bacon Cheeseburger. Funny how it’s inside a gas station between two other burger places and yet I find it way better for not just food quality but also value. Pretty sure only one woman runs it because she is the only person I ever see working there unless a gas station employee is briefly covering her register. Sundays have all daily specials active so that’s probably the best time to check it out.

The mushroom Swiss burger might be the best one in the country I’ve been on buses semi trucks and traveled coast to coast looking for good eats and this place right here hands down best burger I’ve ever had!
