It was a really cold day and we just happened to stumble in here. The inside of the place is super cute. All of the art on the walls and the tables are really cool. We ordered a special called the Ice Breaker (top of the photo) and a Ham & Brie (bottom of the photo). Both sandwiches were delish! We also ordered a Baked Potato soup to share. No complaints at all, we enjoyed it. Also the little corn bread that came with it was so yummy and subtly sweet. Perfect to dip in the savory soup.

This was our first time visiting this establishment and will also be our last. The service was good but the food is another story. The steak and cheese sandwich tasted like it was made with steak-um. We also ordered 2 bowls of potato soup which is my favorite soup but not from this place it was a thin liquid not at all creamy as described on the menu with a couple pieces of bacon in it and not one sign of a piece of potato in either bowl. The chili is very spicy so if you can’t handle spicy don’t order that. The curry soup however was very good. It had great flavor and actual chunks of potato, If you like curry I would recommend this soup.

What a hidden gem!!!!! This feeling is only enhanced when you walk through the door to this quaint yet spacious reprieve from your day. The staff is amazing and the customers always smiling. Got a great recommendation and was totally satisfied. I didn’t order one but watching their perfectly crafted wraps being served was tempting. The wraps were layered evenly and looked picture perfect. This is a place you MUST seek out when in the area.

Went for lunch on a weekday. They weren’t too busy and we were able to get a table and get our food without too much wait. We both ordered a pick two. I had a ham and brie wrap which was really good and a ceasar salad which was just okay. Overall the restaurant was neat and I will probably go again, but will not be ordering the salad again.

Wanted to try something local. Glad we did. The steak and cheese was the best sandwich out of the three. The potato rosemary was smooth and flavorful. The other soups were good. The BLT is an easy classic. The only drawback was the Adam was turned into a wrapped and sadly was very dry.

They definitely know how to run a restaurant cause it’s very fast even when it’s packed and employees are kind and helpful. Buddha bowl is good, lots of fresh arugula, curried lamb soup is amazing and the apple butter and goat cheese sandwich is so goooood. Even brownies are great. Definitely a good bet if you’re short on time but want to eat quality food.

Wow! If you love soup even a fraction of how much I love soup, you will LOVE this local soup joint! Their menu changes everyday and they make all of their delicious and unique soups from scratch! They have a little something to offer anyone from the beefy, chili-type, meat lover, to a light, vegan, veggie-lover! I already knew I wanted to try something I never had before but if you happen to be into more “traditional” flavor soups and styles they have you covered as well!

Upon entering the tall, shabby-chic, storefront door, we walked down into a set of small steps which brought us down to the restaurants and eating areas! The walls were decorated with lost of nostalgic records, posters, art, as well as other interesting pieces of furniture. Just my style! I love all the downtown historic buildings and treat most of them as a little museum during my short time there!

I proceeded to the ordering counter where I decided to order a choose two with the 90’s Club and a side of the Creamy Edamame soup! My friend chose to also order the choose two but he opted for the Mozzarella and Pesto wrap with the Corn Chowder. The drinks are offered at the front by either choosing from the bottled drink section near the counter or the fountain beverages. I opted for just a coup for water this day as well as my husband.

After ordering our food, we were given a number to wait and we found seating. The food was prepared quite quickly, maybe 4-5 minutes and came out hot and delicious! My creamy edamame soup had a very rich edamame, spinach flavor which I personally loved but I could see some thinking it may be salty. My 90’s Club (pictured) was the highlight of my whole day! It was huge, the chicken was tender, avocado was fresh, the sauces were perfect (enough to barely make it a little soggy… MY FAVORITE), and just all together felt deliciously guilty to eat! My sandwich was bigger than my friend’s !

As for his meal he really enjoyed it and anytime corn chowder is offered he get extremely excited! It had a really nice flavor and texture in my opinion. His mozzarella and pesto wrap was what seemed like the perfect light lunch snack to me. Wrapped nicely, fresh ingredients, vegetarian. I could. Probably eat at-least two of those!

Overall I plan on going for the rest of my stay in Virginia and I’m excited to try more of the soup flavors and sandwich options! They even have bone broths, cheese steaks, salads, burgers, grain bowls, and quesadillas! Can’t wait to go back! Give them a try!

A very warm, comforting food experience I had at this place. The soups and sandwiches are amazing. Freshly cooked, warm, and very refreshing flavors. Nice intimate place for communal eating. A must winter place to visit.

On a cold, rainy fall day, a bowl of hot soup is a great idea. If you’re in this town, make sure Revolutionary Soup is providing that soup.
They have a pick two option that lets you try a half sandwich (served as a wrap) and a small soup. We each had one plus a third small soup on the side for a total of five menu options. Every single one of them would be worth having again on their own. Among the soups, though, the lamb curry truly stood out as an outstanding flavor. Both the Kickin’ Chicken and Thai Chicken wraps were amazing.

This place is a staple now. Every holiday we visit the folks in C’ville we make sure to hit Rev Soup. They were out of a couple soups Dec 2021 (due to supply chain yada yada).
My favorite was the cheesesteak wrap with cup of Lamb Curry (pic). Both were excellent. Wish the wrap was a little bigger tho. Lamb Curry so tasty it “silenced” my appetite.
Vegetarian wife had their Bruschetta sandwich (pic). She loved the pesto and everything was fresh.
Sister had grilled tofu wrap with cup of Tomato Bisque (pic). Thumbs up.
