On the positive, they have free ballet and the service is kind and responsive. They do have a large selection of drinks.
The buffet offers a thoughtful selection of fresh, seasonal fruits, including vibrant berries and perfectly ripe melons. For those who enjoy a hearty start to their day, the hot food station features classic breakfast staples like crispy bacon, flavorful chicken sausage, and creamy grits. The made-to-order egg station is a standout, allowing guests to customize their omelets with a variety of fresh ingredients.
What sets this buffet apart is its attention to detail. The pastries are freshly baked, with options like buttery croissants and indulgent chocolate treats. The granola parfaits, served in charming jars, add a touch of elegance to the spread. And for those with a sweet tooth, the inclusion of homemade cakes and cookies for breakfast is a delightful surprise.
The ambiance is equally impressive, with a bright and modern setting that complements the high-quality food. The staff are attentive and friendly, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and well taken care of.
Overall, the breakfast buffet at Reverence is a must-try for anyone staying at the Epicurean Hotel or visiting Atlanta. It’s a perfect blend of flavor, variety, and sophistication that leaves a lasting impression. Highly recommended!
This is from a special event, not regular service. Attended an Italian food and wine pairing event. The sommelier and the chef did not coordinate; in the sommeliers own words, he went for a progression of wines rather than to match the food pairing. To one pairing, he said “I just tried it and I think it’s okay.” If someone gets to such a position as sommelier, I sincerely hope they aim for better than “okay” for a special event.
I get it, everybody has an off night. Everybody makes a mistake. The cascading oops here make it clear they aren’t ready to host events like this.
This place is full of great ideas but execution was sloppy at best. Of the six courses, two that were supposed to be warm were either cold (a pumpkin risotto; pictured) or room temperature (a perfectly al dente raviolio but the lukewarm filling and sauce were disappointing). The late salad course was described with an exciting technique of tomato caviar; our salads were among the last to be served and had zero tomato of any sort on them. To their credit, they fixed that when we complained, but at the price, that’s not something a customer should have to point out to you. I understand getting all of the food warm to serve for a large event is challenging; this is a problem that should have been figured out before service. Similarly, we were told to reuse forks across courses rather than have clean tools provided – does the site not have enough to properly run the event?
The tiramisu was exceptional, and compliments to the chef on the incredible execution. I wish I got a picture.
Staff were friendly and the venue – a demonstration kitchen – was really cool. If only it had been used for any part of the event.
Finally, those with nut allergies should look elsewhere. We were assured that there were no tree nuts on the menu, only to be served an almond cracker as part of the dessert. It’s a good thing we read the menu.
They surprised us with Chocolate lava cake with fresh fruits. It was delightful, delicious end to our meal.
