My partner and I visited Rev BBQ for dinner over the weekend for the first time and were pleasantly surprised overall. The ambiance of the dim lighting and clean environment made it easy to relax.
Staff was attentive and kind to assist us in any questions we had or extra items we needed.
We ordered the Sampler platter, 6 Carolina Vinegar wings, and a Brisket sandwich. All 3 exceeded our expectations! The meat was juicy, very tender, and so flavorful. I will definitely be coming back!

Food was fantastic. I got the two meat two sides. Got the brisket and ribs for the meat. Got the macaroni and cheese and coleslaw for the sides. All of it was tasty. Portion size was great walked out full. Service was very friendly. Got greeted with a smile.

We shared the Grazer platter and had plenty of food. Make sure to choose the mashed potatoes with bacon gravy as one of your sides! The service was great, our water glasses were always full. The only drawback was the temperature of the restaurant. It was chilly at our booth by the window. We noticed other customers keeping their jackets on during their meal.

First time trying The Revelry with my husband tonight and we were both impressed. The service and food were both outstanding. The Jambalaya and dry rub wings were both our favorites.
Update: We visited again tonight with friends to try the new menu at Rev BBQ and the food was phenomenal! I recommend going early to ensure the menu items you want won’t be sold out. They were sold out of brisket, quarter chicken, hush puppies, sausage, and shrimp by 8PM on a Saturday night but all of the substitutions we tried were great!

We stopped at The Outpost for a family lunch, and we say, “Move over Dino BBQ – there’s a new BBQ king in town!” The brisket was incredible, and we also highly recommend the poblano grits. Our toddler loved everything too.

Possibly the saltiest meal I have ever had. I ordered the Carolina Pulled Pork and Mashed Potatoes and felt like I had eaten a 1/4 cup of salt the rest of the day. The food was ok but far overpriced vs other better available BBQ in the area.

In July I went to have dinner at the Revelry, and I left a review through OpenTable to discuss my experience. My friend has a severe shellfish allergy, which was disclosed through OpenTable. We ordered a fried appetizer (Texas Twinkies), which must have been cross contaminated with the fried shrimp, because my friend started to have an allergic reaction to this in the middle of our meal. She was sick for the rest of the day, but we tipped and just tried to leave quickly.
I informed the Revelry of this through OpenTable afterwards, because cross contamination when it comes to common and severe allergies is nothing to joke about. They reached out to me via email to address this problem and they seemed kind, attentive, and remorseful. They offered a gift card to cover a new meal, which I considered because the food was genuinely delicious. I told them how they could get ahold of me for this (gave them a mailing address) and then I never heard anything from them and never received the gift card.
I gave it some time before writing a public review, especially because I thought they had responded so well after the incident, but I just find this absolutely unacceptable. Paying upwards of $100 for a meal and trying to quietly address a very serious allergy, but then I was completely brushed off and ignored. For anyone with severe allergies, especially severe shellfish allergies, please please keep this in mind. I recommend you go elsewhere.

Give this place a try! We went here over the weekend with a reservation. This is the location inside the red brick building. The dinner was not only delicious, but the portion sizes were generous. Our family ordered 2 sides of the smoked wings (Carolina vinegar & black pepper mustard) before getting the Grazer platter. There were 4 of us in our party, we shared it, and still had leftovers. It consisted of deviled eggs, the beef brisket, so moist and juicy, swapped the pulled pork for the chicken, also cooked to perfection, the ribs were succulent, and the sausage… perfectly crisp outside tender inside, and turkey included. The sides were hush puppies, moist, the creamy grits, Cajun mashed potatoes with gravy and absolutely scrumptious cornbread. We initially received one cornbread, it should have been 2. We informed our waiter who quickly addressed it and removed the extra charge from our bill. We ordered the chocolate mousse Oreo crust pie, and that was delectable! To add, the seating upstairs is a bit awkward if you’re placed near the window at the far end with like 8 chairs, assuming another party was going to be sitting right next to you. But the hostess assured us that wouldn’t be the case, and it ended up being a great experience. We will be returning!
